Brooklyn wiped the tears spewing from her eyes. She breathed in and out trying to stop her hyperventilating. Her parents pretty much despised her due to her quirk, (her quirk is explained in the informative chapter). They made her cover her hands with gloves, and always yelled and beat her for not being a good enough daughter.

While her older brother and older sister were looked at as perfect.

Whenever her parents would hit her, or yell, when it all became too much she would sneak out of her room and go to a forest near her house. Her parents often didn't notice because they never came into her room unless they had too.

She opened her window and climbed out of her bedroom. Her tears stopped when she smelt the fresh air and felt free from that hell of a home.

She walked to the mountain near her house, Sekoto Peak, with her stained cheeks from tears. She always went to her favorite spot on Sekoto Peak, where she'd sit against a tall tree and think about what she could do to escape her family.

Suddenly...

Brooklyn heard a small tree branch snap behind her.

"Huh.." She let out, barley above a whisper as she turned to face the intruder.

Her eyes met a boy around her age, with white as snow hair, and ocean blue piercing eyes...

"Who the hell are you?!" The boy exclaimed. He slapped his hand over his mouth immediately as if his words weren't meant to come out that loud. He was obviously startled.

They both looked at each other for a while. Examining their faces and figures, trying to remember if they've ever seen each other before.

"You homeless or something?" The boy looked annoyed by the girls lack of words.

"No... I'm not homeless." Brooklyn stated irritatedly. She felt like she has been through hell and back today, she didn't feel like talking to some brat.

"You look homeless."

"You look stupid." Brooklyn replied once again to his insults, crossing her arms.

"Why are you in my spot?" He looked at her with attitude. She rolled her eyes at the boy's ignorance.

"This isn't anyone's spot, it's a tree!" Brooklyn stood her ground, waiting for another stupid insult to come out the boys mouth.

"It's mine now. Move...girl" he stated coldly, his turquoise eyes not leaving my eyes once.

Brooklyn did know if he was the type of kid to pick fights wherever he goes like he's more important then everyone. Or maybe it was just because he was mad today. He seemed mad and unhappy with something in his life. Maybe he really wasn't annoying, just upset.

"Girl? My name is Brooklyn." She crossed her arms and refused to move as the unknown boy came closer to her.

"Move. bRoOkLyN" He said her name weirdly on purpose, mocking her. He tried to lightly push her away from the tree.

"Hey-"

"I said move!"

"G-get off!"

"Move!"

"Hey-! Get off of me! Stop!" Brooklyn said he the boy only pushed her harder every time she told him to get off of her. Brooklyn pushed back, still holding her place on the tree, not allowing him to fully push her away.

"Move away!"

"Stop that..!"

"Move!"

"STOP PUSHING ME!" Brooklyn shouted back loudly. Her red energy seeping out the palm of her hands and shooting towards the boy. In a instant, he let go of her, and his body flung straight into another tree.

"Oh my... I'm so sorry... what the hell is wrong with me! I'm sorry! Sometimes I can't control it." She said in panic as her red energy and red butterflies seemed to scatter everywhere. She tired to apologize as she ran to where he had fallen.

"T-that was you..?!" He exclaimed. He didn't seem happy, but he didn't seem mad either.

"Yeah, I'm sorry" she grabbed his hand and pulled him up off the floor.

"No no... that was just unexpected. I didn't know your quirk was so strong" he said in shock, letting Brooklyn help him up.

"It's not strong! It's dangerous! I'm sorry, I really didn't mean to." Brooklyn said with her hands together. Trying her best to apologize.

"What the— that was amazing." The boy said looking at where I wounded him, still in shock.

"Uhm.. what's your name? I don't think you told me." Brooklyn asks, trying to distract him a bit from what she had done out of guilt.

"Touya." He said blankly.

"Touya..." Brooklyn repeated nodding her head. Making a mental note of his name.

"Well then touya, I think I'll go... my parents will kill me if I'm not back soon" Brooklyn lied. Her parents couldn't care less about where she was. She felt guilty about what she did to this boy that she barley knew, so she just made up an excuse and hoped to not see him again.

"Yeah. Okay...freak" He spat out trying to seem tough and intimidating.

After that day, Brooklyn went back to Sekoto Peak, like she did everyday when she needed to blow off some steam. Most of the time she saw Touya there too. At first they'd ignore each other, feeling embarrassed by there first interaction, but soon enough they found comfort within each other. Comfort that they weren't alone on this big mountain. They always talked for a bit then went there separate ways. Day by day, there conversations grew longer, and they began to grow closer to each other. When they grew a bit closer, Touya asked Brooklyn to teach him a little about how to help him with his quirk and give him tips. Instead of going to Sekoto Peak to let out anger, Brooklyn found herself going back waiting and waiting for Touya.
