"Touya! No, not like that!" I screamed out as Touya creates too much fire in his palm, accidentally blasting it at one of the trees.
When Touya and I first met almost a full year ago, I blasted my quirk at him in anger. When we grew closer he asked me to help me with his quirk, and to give him tips and tricks on how I use mine. Touya and my quirk is extremely different when it comes to the effect it has on others, but I can help him in ways like... How to charge up enough energy for a certain blast, how to aim, how to do certain moves, etc! Although, I might not be the greatest teacher since my quirk and its power depends a lot on my emotions.
Even though I keep my emotions in control most times, I still struggle a bunch with that. And, no shade to touya.. but he's very bad at keeping calm. Which makes his and my quirk flare up sometimes uncontrollably. But luckily we've never burned down or in my case destroyed anything too major!
"Damn fire." Touya curses some more under his breath as a run to him, and put my hand which was laced with my own quirk on his. Which was also laced with his fire. I've never really seen other people do this with there quirks but some how, whenever Touya's quirk went a little out of control, I was always able to make the fire smaller with my own quirk.
"Don't let your emotions get the better of you, Touya! You got this. Always stay in control of your fire." I say as encouragement. I try to avoid these sessions most days really because I see small burns on his body from his own quirk. Although, when he notices me holding back on me teaching him, his eyes almost always fill with tears. Then he starts asking me if I'm like his dad, and thinks he should quit trying to be a hero.
"Tsk...like your so much better than me." He rolled his eyes as he pushed my hand away from his, and tried to make another fire within his palm. Without letting it get loose this time.
"Please Touya... take it easy. Or else we might not be able to practice anymore if you just keep burning down trees by accident." I lie to him. No one would ever see the disappearance of a few trees when there was like a billion of them surrounding us! But I just can't stand to see him so down on himself, so willing to scar up his body. All for his father's attention.
"I can do this." He said less as reassurance, more in pure frustration. The fire ball he created instantly danced in his palm then flung straight into another tree. Then Touyas eyes widen with frustration and anger. Looking at his hands as if they had disappointed him.
Then suddenly a small blonde boy came from behind the tree that Touya almost burned..
"Hey! You could have killed me! Watch that fire dummy!" Keigo spat at Touya. The kid who popped out of no where was the one and only Keigo! I giggled at his timing, opposed from Touya who just got more angry.
"Keigo!" I ran up to him and hugged him tight. My back was facing Touya so I couldn't see his face but I just knew he was fuming.
"You could get hurt, especially since Touya and I still have a lot to learn. Don't come up here without warning, Keigo." I sighed, placing a hand on his shoulder. I don't want to know what would have happened if Touya really did hit Keigo with his fire by accident.
"Noted!—" He winked, always so smooth with his comments. Then Touya interrupted him."I wish I did hit you, damn bird." Touya crossed his arms and rolled his eyes. Stuffing his anger from our session down inside.
"Shhh Touya, I'm talking to someone important!" Keigo teased, as he looked back at me waiting for me to speak. I never liked how Keigo teased Touya, always painting him to be less important. Even though I know he's joking. And that he loves Touya as a friend, since he's told me a few times in private. I just can never shake the fact that Touya might actually think he's less than Keigo.
