"A rare moment where Bakugo isn't hanging over you, oh my gosh!"" I glanced up from my phone as Mina sat down across from me, bowl fulled of hot curry. Ochaco, Tsu, Kyoka and Momo joined us as well, filling up one of the dinner tables just for us girls.
I got back to the dorms late, for after talking with Itsuki I went and spent a few hours with Eri, until it was her bedtime. I only came back in time to eat, thinking I would be alone. But the girls seemed to have waited for me.
I was between Kyoka and Tsu. Mina across from me and Ochaco and Momo on either side. My mouth was full of food and it took me a second to process what Mina said before my cheeks reddened.
"I can't blame him, after everything that's happened," Tsu shrugged, her plate full of vegetarian options. Momo was eating fried gyoza and fried rice, while the rest of us had curry.
"Okay, okay, let's ignore the boys for now," Mina said excitedly with a mouthful of food. "Aren't you all excited?"
My brows furrowed in confusion.
"Yeah, I actually am. It's nice to be able to have a lighthearted time coming," Ochaco said with a happy sigh.
Kyoka's ear-jacks rubbed together as the hint of a blush hit her cheeks. "Yeah, I am a bit excited. But also nervous."
"Don't be nervous. I know you'll do great," Momo spoke up in reassurance.
My eyes were wide, watching. What were they talking about? What did I miss, being so put of it with my problems?
"You should sign up for the beauty contest, Mira - ribbit. Its a good way to build self-esteem if you win," Tsu added on, addressing me. I nearly choked on my food.
"Oh, and you need to join us for the dance practice—"
"Dance practice? Beauty contest?" I asked incredulously, my voice raised an octave, cutting Mina off. I placed my spoon and phone down, sitting back in my chair and watching them all with wide eyes. "What the fuck are you talking about?"
They app blinked at me, as if stunned I didn't know.
"The School Festival?" Ochaco put out there.
"We have a festival?" They all nodded. "Like - like a normal one, where we have different attractions from each class?" I clarified, suspiciously, in disbelief.
How the fuck did I miss that.
"Yeah, and our class is doing a band performance," Momo explained kindly as Kyoka hid her chuckle behind a fake cough at my paling face. "And you're on the dance team."
My body went frozen. I was physically unable to react.
And that is when Mina giggled , leaning on Ochaco's shoulder as they both gave me a mischievous look.
Oh no.
"And we may have already signed you up for the beauty contest," Mina said nonchalantly.
"If that's alright with you," Ochaco added hastily.
My heart stopped in my chest.

My hands lightly threaded through Katsuki's hair, over and over, as a show played on the tv that faces my bed. As he scrolled on his phone, watching random videos, head between my legs, on my stomach, as I was propped up on a few pillows.
He likes physical contact. I learned that. But it also seems he likes to lay between my legs quite a bit. I didn't know if it was because of... something, or if he enjoyed it when I would massage his head, play with his hair gently, let him rest.
