The darkness hung in the air like a haunting memory, its presence eerie and unsettling. The dense fog remained still and lifeless, shrouding the forest floor in an oppressive veil. Not a single ray of moonlight or starlight could penetrate the thick canopy of ancient trees, leaving Toni surrounded by an inky blackness. Faint echoes of distant creatures, both dangerous and harmless, reverberated through the air, creating a disorienting symphony that added to the surreal atmosphere.

Toni found herself drifting upon the forest floor, her movements guided by an unseen force. It was as if her own will had been relinquished, and her eyes became her only navigational compass. She glided through the shadows with a speed that was neither too fast nor too slow, her body moving effortlessly as if synchronized with the hidden rhythms of the forest.

The things she had witnessed in this dream-like state were overwhelming, assaulting her senses as if she had truly lived through them herself. They etched vivid images in her mind, leaving an indelible mark that blurred the boundaries between reality and the ethereal realm of dreams. What could have lured her here, to one of the most perilous places outside the safety of Hogwarts, was unfathomable. The power of a dream to draw her into such treacherous depths was beyond comprehension.

Dried tears stained her cheeks, a testament to the emotional turmoil she had experienced. She believed herself to be awake, or at least partially so, but her mind felt trapped between the realms of wakefulness and slumber. It was as though she still existed within the realm of her dream, with the world around her appearing both familiar and foreign at the same time. Every tree, every rock, seemed to hold a secret significance.

As Toni moved forward, her bare feet making contact with the forest floor, she noticed a trail of small eight-legged creatures scurrying along in a neat line. They were diminutive in size, barely noticeable, yet they moved with a purposeful determination, leading deeper into the heart of the forest. Something inside her urged her to follow them, as if they held the key to her destination. "Follow them," she whispered to herself, her voice barely audible above the surrounding stillness. "They will show you the way."

With a mix of trepidation and curiosity, Toni obediently trailed after the minuscule creatures, stepping lightly and cautiously along the path they had forged. Each step brought her deeper into the mysterious unknown, her heart pounding in her chest as anticipation mingled with a growing sense of foreboding. The forest seemed to awaken around her, its secrets and dangers lurking just beyond her line of sight.

As Toni ventured further into the darkness, she couldn't help but wonder what awaited her at the end of this enigmatic journey. Would she find answers to the questions that had plagued her, or would she be consumed by the shadows that enveloped her? The path ahead was fraught with uncertainty, yet she pressed on, driven by an inner determination to unravel the mysteries that had led her into this unfathomable dream.

But this slumbered waltz came to an abrupt halt when a firm grip from behind seized her, pulling her back and preventing her from venturing deeper into the forest. Instantly, her body jolted awake, and a surge of panic surged through her veins. She thrashed and shrieked, causing the spiders below to scuttle away in haste. With her mind reeling, she struggled to comprehend her surroundings or the identity of the mysterious assailant who had grasped her. Her body instinctively fought against the restraint, pushing with all her might. Yet, in a sudden twist of fate, her vision was engulfed by a blinding white light, before everything faded into darkness and her body went limp.

"Severus!" Dumbledore called urgently as he hurried across the forest ground, with Hagrid close behind him.

"Over here!" Snape replied, his gaze shifting from Dumbledore to Toni, who lay limp in his arms. Dumbledore swiftly joined them, kneeling down and gently brushing the hair away from Toni's face.
