CHAPTER 3

Nagseselos ka ba?

Richard shook his head at the thought. He doesn't really know if he is jealous. Ever since he became an angel, he cannot recall those strange feelings. It's like he's been reformatted, and if he was fixed, he would disappear.

Richard doesn't have any choice so he flew to search for Maya. He saw her with a guy near the fountain. She seems to be so happy and all.

He must be Simon.

He flew near her, crossed his arms, making sure that Maya sees her.

"Ay Simon, may ipapakilala ako sa'yo." Maya said when he spotted her angel.

Richard on the other hand, only raised his brows when he heard Maya said that.

"Sino?" Simon asked.

"Ay ano, wala pala haha. Akala ko kasi siya yun."

Richard could only smile at Maya's excuse.

"Ahh. Kumusta ka na dun sa bago mong trabaho?" Simon asked.

"Ayos lang naman Simon. Masaya."

"Yun ba yung sa boss mong masungit? Aba, himala ata 'yan. Sabi mo dati parang gusto mo nang magresign ah, tapos ngayon masaya na."

"Oo nga eh. Pero ayos na, masaya na sa trabaho. Nabait na si Sir eh."

"Aba, nagamitan mo rin ng powers mo no?"

"Naku Simon. Hindi powers 'to." Then Maya looked at Richard. She smiled at him. "Regalo 'to."

Richard felt his heart skip a beat with what Maya did.

Simon and Maya continued to talk while Richard is just smiling foolishly at the side.

Wait, what's wrong with you, Richard? Why are you smiling like that?

Richard shook his head at those thoughts. Bakit nga ba nagkakaganito ako?

Before he realize, Maya and Simon are finally saying farewell at each other. Maya approached him afterwards and she took out her phone.

"Tara na? Uwi na tayo. Madami pa akong trabahong gagawin."

When they reached her condo, Richard sat on the couch again and took a nap.

Hay nako, Maya. Kailangan mong masanay na may pogi na laging uupo at iidlip dyan sa sofa.

Then she frowned.

Hindi pala ako pwedeng masanay. Hindi siya habambuhay nandito.

Maya did her daily routine. She ate, took a bath and worked. She needs to get started on Roberto's assignment to her. She doesn't have work tomorrow for it was Saturday. And the report must be done on Monday.

"You're in for a big surprise, you know?" Maya was startled when Richard spoke beside her.

"Richard naman eh. Alam kong kaya mong lumipad pero please, 'wag ka namang susulpot kung saan-saan! Nakakanerbyos eh."

Richard gave a chuckle. "Sorry."

"Anong surprise?"
"Secret. I don't want to ruin Roberto's fun. Basta galingan mo sa report na 'yan. If you want, I can help you."
"Hindi na Richard, gusto kong gawin 'to mag-isa. Saka sabi mo nga diba, I'm in for a big surprise. Kaya dapat ako lang ang gagawa."
