Justina paced the living room as Frankie stared at her, she is at the verge of having a breakdown, her family disappeared on her birthday and everyone keep saying they never existed.

"so you have never met my dad?"

"nope" said Frankie letting the p pop.

"my mom?"

"nope"

"my twin brother?"

"still nope"

"just to be clear, we did breakup right?" she asked hoping she is not in a parallel universe. she knows she reads too many books but that's the only explanation she could come up with.

"if I have no one, how could I afford this house?" she asked gesturing to everything around her

"you are house sitting for someone"

"haha, great" she said humourlessly

"what's going on Tina?" asked Frankie

"I don't know, I don't know" she gripped her hair tightly making Frankie grimace. "I came home and they are all gone"

"why don't you go to bed, tomorrow we can figure it out" he said as he gently removed her hands from her hair.

"no, I need to find them" she looked at him "I want to file a missing persons report"

"I'm sorry you can't, it has not been up to twenty four hours and these people, they don't exist"

those words were the breaking point for Tina. how could he say that? she has lived with her family for the Twenty years of her life, no one can tell her that they don't exist. how could they not when she remembers every single little detail about them.

"just....."

"get out" she said in a whisper. when she sees he made no move to leave she yelled loudly "get out Frankie, out!!"

the police officer sighed as he made his way to the door, he grabbed the door handle "if you need anything call me" he opened the door and left.

Justina knows she won't take him up on his offer. he thinks her family is a fragment of her imagination but she refused to believe it. now that she is alone, the reality of the whole situation set in. she couldn't help the tears that falls. she wrapped her hands around her knees bringing it to her chest.

"please mom, dad, Justin please" she whispered into the night air. this was supposed to be a good basic birthday but it turned into the worse birthday in the histories of birthdays.

Justina didn't know when she fell asleep on the cold floor, she slowly opened her eyes, she can't remember for how long she cried. she wasn't a crier, she had always held it together even when Frankie broke up with her, she only cried once for an hour or so but this was different, it seems like crying is the only thing she knows how to do. It felt like she has been crying for days.

"is she the one?" asked a female voice

"yes, he is going to be pleased" said another.

fear gripped Justina, are they the people that kidnapped her family? are they here to take her too? "who are you?" Justina asked as she jumped on her feet. she looked at the intruders, one has a blonde hair, the other has a dark hair and the female has an abnormally red hair.

"who we are does not matter, what matters is that your day of reckoning is here" said the dark haired man

"my day of what?" she asked as her eyes located her phone on the table. she is weighing her options, there are three of them and one of her. she did take self defense classes but she doesn't know if that will help much.

"sleep now" said the dark haired man in a hush tone. it sounded like the wind whispering to the leaves in the forest, a thousand Whispers, so light and feathery, Justina couldn't refuse as her body fell like a lug of wood. the blonde man was able to reach her before she could hit the floor.

"don't want her to hit her head now do we?" he asked with a chuckle

"we do" frowned Red. if it was up to me I say we dig out her heart and feed it to the birds

"it's not up to you"

"things are complicated now but I still say we kill her"

"tame your bloodlust Red" snarled blondie

"enough. both of you" said the dark haired man "he is waiting"
