The cloud has finally stopped her tears, the smell of the rain mixed with the earth was quite soothing for a goodnight sleep but not for Justina. she felt nauseous as she banged on her neighbour's door, she probably seem like a crazy woman. she kept hitting the door until it finally swung open.

"Jesus Christ Tina, do you want to break my door" glared Mrs Betty. Justina didn't care if the door is blown off its hinges, she just needs help. Mrs Betty never got along with her mom, they always fought, they had an argument this morning because Mrs Betty told the other women in their little game club that Mrs Patrick cheated in the last bingo game. the argument almost became physical until Mr Patrick stepped in.

"Mrs Betty, I can't find my family, did you see them? did..."

"what, slow down Tina, do you want to come in for hot chocolate?"

"I don't want hot chocolate!" yelled Tina. Mrs Betty flinched. Tina tried to calm herself "Mrs Betty my dad..."

"sweetheart you have no dad" said Mrs Betty calmly

"what?!, I do have a dad, remember he stopped you and mom from tearing into eachother this morning"

"dear, what's going on? you have no parents" Mrs Betty said with sympathy, she always thought Justina was not like those kid addicted to drugs, she guess she was wrong

"what are you saying, Mrs Betty. you and my mom fight all the time" Justina tried not to yell. is Mrs Betty still angry at her mom, is that why she is doing this? she and her brother always joked that Mrs Betty should be called Mrs petty but this is just too much.

"Tina maybe you....." Mrs Betty was unable to complete her sentence as Justina runs to her nextdoor neighbor "poor girl" murmured Mrs Betty shaking her head "she lost her marbles"

Justina knocked desperately on her neighbour's door, Mrs Betty refused to help but she is sure Mr Hathaway will. her dad and Mr Hathaway were close friends, they both served in  the military together, there is no way he won't help.

"hi there Tina, it's late" Mr Hathaway smiled at the girl clad in a very big grey tee shirt and pyjamas bottom.

"I can't find my parents" she said calmly

"find?" he asked with raised brows. Justina hopes to God he won't pull a Mrs Betty on her

"yes sir"

"I don't understand" he said plainly, a frown dancing on his face. is she pulling a prank or something

"you and my dad served together" she said hoping to get something. anything.

"did we?" he asked as his frown deepened

"yes!" she yelled as tears threatened to spill from her eyes. if this is a nightmare, she wished to wake up now. "remember how you will tell stories of how dad carried you back to camp when you were shot in the leg?"

"Justina, do I need to call someone?" he asked gently "you know you can tell me anything"

"I need help" she cried "I need to find my family"

"Tina" called a voice behind her

"Frankie!" finally he showed up. she didn't know when she dialed his number but he answered.

she didn't want to be a weeping mess in front of her ex but here she was crying into his shoulder as she clung onto him for dear life. well at least he is a police officer, he will be able to help.

"Tina what's wrong?" he said gently as he draws circles on her back trying to calm her down "I didn't understand you over the phone

"my parents are gone" she hiccuped "Mrs Betty and Mr Hathaway aren't helping.....I can't find my twin brother anywhere"

"Tina" he said gently as he held her shoulder looking into her eyes "you don't have a twin brother"

she furiously wiped her nose, her eyes are puffy, her nose red. Justin and Frankie couldn't stand eachother and that was one of the many reasons for their breakup but saying her  brother doesn't exist is just annoying.

"now is not the time Frankie" she glared at him as she matched towards her home.

"I want to help Tina, just tell me what is going on"

"I have told you my family is missing" she said teary eyes as she entered her home

"you have no family Tina"

"so I just lived in this house all by myself?"

Frankie fell silent, Justina could tell by his silent that his answer is yes.

"I don't know what to tell you Tina, you live alone"

"enough!" yelled Tina. everyone keeps behaving like her family does not exist but she knows that's not true. "then how do you explain the food" she gestured to the dinning table

"what food?" he asked

Justina swore she saw food on the table when she came in but now there was nothing, not even her brother's favourite cake. maybe she has gone mad.
