Saving Aliyah

Alastair's birthday is tomorrow, so I'm doing everything I can to make sure he doesn't have to remember anything bad that happened on his birthday today.

I rub my eyes when I wake up, noticing how Alastair's still asleep, usually he wakes up before me. So I take this as an opportunity to make breakfast for him.

I never expected Alastair to not want me to get out of bed, I lied to him by saying I was getting water because my throat was hurting. Which the old man had the bright idea of trying to 'massage' my throat.

I sighed grabbing stuff out I the fridge to make waffles, walking over to the counter to mix the batter when the front door opens, I freeze before turning around slowly to see who's there, my hand staying on the wooden spoon.

"Oh, Hey Aliyah!" Leo says and I smiled softly "Hi, Leo!" I say, he walks over to the counter sitting down "Where's Alastair?" He asked me "He's still asleep, so I'm making waffles!" I say turning back to the mix as he hummed.

The front door opens again and I notice Selena walked in "I told you to wait for me." She grits, making Leo shrug before flickering a lighter "It's okay if I smoke, right?" He asked and I nod "I don't mind."

"You don't need to ask her." Selena says rolling her eyes and I frown "Perché lo diresti?" I hear Leo's voice "Because it's not her house, she can't tell you what to do." Selena defends (Why would you say that?)

"Our house, it's Aliyah's and my house."

I hear Alastair's voice, I turn to him as he walked over to me "This doesn't look like water." He says to me "Wait one second." I say turning the faucet on to get water for the mix, I smiled at Alastair who rolls his eyes "Why are you two here." He asked towards Leo and Selena

"Because of the information we found on you know who." Selena says sitting by Leo, taking the weed from him and smoking it making him sigh. "I would've given you your own" He tells her "Shut the fuck up, Leo. I need this." She grits making Leo frown again. I look at Alastair in confusion as to what is happening

"Selena. Don't." He grits "And Leo, don't you dare say something." He rolls his eyes "Aw, you know you love me, Alastair." He grins, I continue making the waffles trying not to listen in on the conversation, but obviously listening to a few things.

"So, it's confirmed he's alive?" Leo asked, both Selena and Alastair nod "Who are you guys talking about?" I asked

"Doesn't concern you."

"Devon Evans."

My eyes widened, not only because of what Alastair said, but because of what Selena said. "Wait, what? Does Cesare know?" I asked, Alastair shakes his head "We need to find more information about Devon before we reveal he's alive." He tells me and I hummed, cooking the waffles "Do you guys want any?" I asked

"Why the fuck wouldn't we?" Selena says, Leo glares at her before looking at me "Don't listen to this Oscar the grouch blonde, I would love some." He tells me and I smile nodding.

We hear footsteps and Claire now walks down before groaning "What's wrong with you?" Leo asked "You're here." She glared at Leo who glared at her "Wow, you Diaz's really hate me, it's been two years, come on." He says

"Claire, I'm making waffles, do you want any?" I asked, out the corner of my eye I see Selena rolling her eyes "Can we hurry up, we have work." She complained, I frown "It's the day before Alastair's birthday, though?" I say, making her smirk.
