*epilogue*
*6 years later*
"What are you doing?" I asked, looking down. "I think Bambi is going to bite Emilia." Silas says staring and pointing at Bambi who's licking Emilia, I shake my head "She likes, Emilia, don't worry." I tell him with a smile.
Silas was Alastair and my son, he was six years old, and Emilia was only three, she turned three a few days ago actually. We named her after Alastair's mom's middle name.
I walk over to the table and finish putting the plates down at the table, Claire was almost here, she just had work to do. Alastair walks in and I smile at him "Hi, muffin" I say, he kisses my forehead "Hi, amore."
"How was work?" I asked him, he sighed "Devon is still missing." He tells me and I frown "You'll find him, I know you will." I say and he nods his head "How's Silas and Emilia?" He asked "He's definitely protective of her." I say and he nods "Emilia's still struggling to form her sentence." I mumbled.
Emilia was having a bad stutter, we didn't know why she was having one, but she was. "It'll be okay, we'll get it taken care of." Alastair tells me and I hummed.
He looks back at Emilia playing with Bambi, and how Silas watches them carefully "Anything about your mother?" I asked, Alastair didn't answer "Alastair?" I say and he looks at me "Did you find anything about your mother, and where she is?" I asked and he shook his head, I frowned.
So far, Emilia looks a lot like Lydia, from the eyes, to the freckles on her face.

Claire was here now, she was with Silas right now, and Emilia was with me. Claire seemed to like being around Emilia and Silas, she moved out about three years ago, she's now twenty-three. Sometimes Cesare comes over, sometimes he stays the night, or leaves after an hour.
I was worried about why he did that, but he never talks about it, he just tells us that something happened and his parents needed him for help.
Emilia watched as Alastair cooked dinner, once in a while trying to grab what he was making, her hands play with my rose necklace.
There's a knock at the door and I sighed "Claire, can I put Emilia by you?" I asked and she nods, I set Emilia down with Claire and go to the door.
When I open it there wasn't anything but an envelope on the ground, I pick it up and open it.
My eyes reading over the writing, widening at whose name was at the bottom, I rushed in and close the door, walking over to Alastair.
"Who was it?" He asked, I show him the paper and he stares at it, reading it, his jaw tightens when he read the name.
"I'll get rid of it." He tells me taking the paper and ripping it into pieces, throwing it in the trash. "I'll take care of him, sweetheart." Alastair says calmly and I nod, taking a deep breath.

I hand Emilia some food before sitting down at the table, she smiles at me, which was her way of saying thank you. I really hope she'll be able to form sentences soon.
I look over at Alastair, but I freeze seeing someone, the figure wasn't far from the house, but they were here.
"What's wrong?"
I look at Alastair, he looks where I was looking before, nothing. "I could've swor-" my voice gets cut off when I get a text.
Unknown: keep your mouth shut.
I swallow the lump in my throat, shaking my head when Alastair stares at me "Nothing, it must've been a deer or something." I say to him, he nods his head slowly.
