With music blasting in the background, Sevyn and her team helped Coach Mike set up for the team's first official game later today. Sevyn was excited to see her girls in action, just from the practices she knew that they were ready.
"I'll be back." Coach Mike said before heading to the gym.
Sevyn nodded and headed to the shed to ensure all the rackets were there. She wanted this match to go perfectly for her girls.
"Has anyone seen Simone?" Sevyn asked her team as she walked over to them causing them to pause and think.
"No."
"Now that I think of it I haven't seen her at practice since school started back up."
"I've seen her at school but it's like she's avoiding us."
Taking out her phone Sevyn sent Simone a text, "I texted her but coach said if she misses another practice she's officially off the team."
"Damn."
As they finished the setup Sevyn wanted to thank them before they headed out, "Hey before y'all leave I just want to thank you all so much for helping me with the center, the girls love you all and I know they can't wait to show y'all everything that they've accomplished over the past couple months. Also, I made sure y'all got service hours for all the time spent here."
"Girl you know it's no problem."
"Yeah, Sev it's been amazing teaching them."
"No for real we might have some competition as they get older."
As the girls left Sevyn headed to the bench grabbing her racket she wanted to get a couple of swings in before she had to meet Corey at the football field.
Heading to the practice wall and started bouncing the tennis ball before tossing the tennis ball in the air and serving it to the wall.
The ball came back over to her fast but Sevyn reached it and sent it back to the wall with an overhead shot. As the ball almost went out of bounds Sevyn was quick to hit the ball sending it back to the wall.
