On the Next Day
I entered the classroom and took my seat. I had to wear a skirt today. Teacher Kwon yelled at me. Thank goodness I shaved my legs yesterday. "What happened to your leg?" Rose sat next to me. "I fell yesterday," I said.
"Why didn't you answer my calls? I called you like five times," she said.
"I'm sorry, I didn't hear it, and now that I think about it, I have no idea where my phone is," I started rummaging through my bag. It wasn't there. Where could it be? The teacher entered the classroom.
"Clear your desks, I don't want to see anything except a pen," she distributed the test papers. Damn it! I didn't study anything. What a nightmare! I was in the front row, so I couldn't cheat much. Occasionally, Rose and I exchanged a few answers when the teacher wasn't looking.
Jimin
"Jimin, wait!" Mina shouted at me. I turned around.
"What do you want?" I asked.
"Are you going out today?" she fluttered her eyes.
"Why should I?" I didn't answer; she just stared at me. I rolled my eyes and turned to leave. "Well, at least take a look at this!" she ran up to me with her phone in hand. She showed me a picture of Taehyung and Jen, he was holding her hand and pulling her somewhere.
"And what about it?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Nothing, just wanted you to see how close he is with your friend," she said and walked away. Why is she always with Taehyung? What does she see in him? Those questions kept bothering me. I sat down on a bench and pondered. I saw Jennie walking home, limping. I stood up and decided to follow her. I noticed Taehyung running towards her. She smiled at him so sweetly. Why did she smile at him?! I felt a strange feeling inside me. They walked side by side, brushing against each other. I couldn't stand it; I had to run up to them and separate them. I wedged myself between them.
"Hey, where are you guys headed?" I asked.
"Hi, home," Jen replied. I looked at Taehyung.
"Me too," he said. After a while, Tae went his own way. I live two streets away from Jen. We got on the bus. "How's your leg?" I looked at her foot. "It's fine, still a bit painful, but I can handle it," she smiled. "Well, I'm going now, bye," she got off the bus.
"Goodbye." I arrived home, greeted my parents, went to my room, threw my bag on the floor, and flopped onto my bed. I still couldn't stop thinking about what Mina showed me. What if they have something together? Lately, I see them together all the time. I lifted my head and looked at my bag. I should be doing my math homework, but I don't feel like it. Tae will probably do it, I'll just copy from him. I ditched the idea and continued lying in bed, lost in my thoughts.
On the Next Day
I saw Taehyung with Jen again. He opened the door for her. "When did he become so attentive?" I muttered to myself.
"Since Jennie came here," Jungkook said. I looked at him. "If you want, I can ask Jen about what's going on with Taehyung," Yoongi joined our conversation.
"Where's my phone?!" I rummaged through my entire bag. I noticed Jen stepping onto the crosswalk. "Jennie!" I shouted at her. Maybe she didn't hear me. I spotted my phone and put it in my pocket, slinging the bag over my shoulder. I started stepping onto the crosswalk when I suddenly noticed a car rushing towards Jen at high speed. I dropped my bag and ran after her. I pushed her aside and felt nothing but pain.
