Kian's pov:

"Kian Zaffre and Kheanneah Adelstein, you two will be presenting our school in today's quiz bee, okay?"

Pabagsak kong inilagay ang ulo ko sa ibabaw ng desk.

Not this shit again.

"Hays, quiz bee nanaman." I heard Kheanne sigh behind me. I'm sure she's sick of this too. Although, first time kong mag quiz bee sa school na 'toh, I'm still sick of quiz bees. Palagi kasi ako 'yung pambato sa last school ko. I'm sure Kheanne is one of the students who kept representing this school every quiz bee. I know she's really good at this.

"Mabuti nalang talaga at hindi ako matalino," Rinig kong sabi ni Judy.

I just want to take a nap but I can't. Aside from the chattering noise, I can't help but think of how close is Kheanne and Gaven to the point that she actually was late yesterday just to pick up flowers from Gaven. Makes no sense.

Isasakripisyo niya ba 'yung project namin para lang makapag date sila ni Gaven? That's so not her. She wouldn't do that, that's why it's bothering the fuck out of me.

"Kian,"

For fuck's sake, what now?!

I raised my head and saw Audrey standing infront of me. Naghalo ang kaba at excitement sa mga mata niya nang nakitang binigyan ko siya ng pansin. She's been so clingy since yesterday. We're not even close.

"What?" I looked at her with annoyance.

"Uhh..hindi kaba pupunta sa library?" She gave me a smile.

"Anong gagawin ko 'don?" Bumalik ako sa pagtulog sa ibabaw ng desk ko. I could still sense Audrey's presence infront of me.

"You and Kheanne are the representatives para sa quiz bee, and.. mamaya na 'yung quiz bee, eh." She tried being patient.

"Oh, ano naman?" My head is still on top of my desk. Not even looking at her. Iginawa kong unan ang dalawa kong braso.

"Para makapag-review ka rin! I heard that the schools you're fighting are really good."

"Kheanne and I can handle them."

Rinig kong bumuntong hininga si Audrey. She paused for a while and thought she would finally shut up but then she talked once again.

"It's good if you'd be prepared," She tried convincing me.

"Nah, I'm good." I said, my head still on top of my desk with my arms serving as a pillow.

"I'll go with you sa library!" She again tried convincing me.

"No,"

"Please?"

"No."

"Are you sure?" She placed her hand on top of my back. My brows went down as I felt her hand brushed my back. It makes me want to chop it off.

"I'm more than sure," I moved my shoulder para maalis ang kamay niya sa likod ko. "and I don't want anyone touching me."

"Sorry," Ibinawi niya rin naman agad.
