Stevie sat quietly, trying to focus on anything but opening her mouth. She parted her lips to speak, when Lindsey cursed, clearly struggling, but sealed them into a thin line again. His hands were magical, when it came to playing guitar as well as a lot more intimate moments, but they weren't very useful, when he had to do anything besides that.

"I think, it's upside down." Stevie couldn't keep her mouth shut any longer. Lindsey gritted his teeth, saying nothing. "Linds, just take a look at it." She added, sitting in a rocking chair that thankfully arrived already assembled.

Breathing out heavily through his nose, Lindsey dropped the screwdriver on the floor and leaned back. Unwilling to admit his mistake, he grabbed the instructions for the umpteenth time.

Turning to face Stevie, Lindsey showed at what was supposed to be the crib for the baby. "I hate this shit."

Stevie bit into her bottom lip to keep herself from laughing. If she could, she would have stood up and approached him, but it wasn't an easy task, so she held out her hand for him and Lindsey came to her instead.

"It's okay. You're still my big strong man." Stevie assured, lifting his hand up, she pressed a small kiss to each knuckle. "We can get some help."

"No." Lindsey shook his head. "No, I want to do this on my own."

"You think, you'll be able to get it done until the baby arrives?" Stevie joked and he looked at her, his jaw dropped. "Just trying to lighten the mood, honey."

"I'm gonna go grab a glass of water and start from scratch." Lindsey said more to himself than Stevie. "Do you want anything?" He asked before walking out of the nursery.

"No, thank you." Stevie replied and picked up her crocheting, which was something she was doing a lot of lately, since she couldn't do much else.

Lindsey returned no less than 20 minutes later. Stevie didn't ask what he was up to, given that he was pretty irritated already. She didn't mention that she would have liked something to snack on either, accepting that she'd missed her chance.

"What do you think about Amber?"

Lindsey paused, his eyebrows creased. "I'm not sure that I know her."

Stevie rolled her eyes behind his back. "Amber as in the name for our baby."

"Oh." Lindsey shrugged, then glanced back at her over his shoulder. "What makes you so sure that we're having a girl? The doctor-"

"Made it pretty clear that the way I'm carrying is not a scientific fact confirming that we're having a boy." Stevie finished the sentence for him even if he didn't really like to believe that.

"Still." Lindsey paused for a moment. "Don't you want a son? You want me to be outnumbered?"

"Well, you already are." Stevie smiled, when he faced her, as she pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose. "Besides, Avery worships the ground you walk on. Daddy this, daddy that." Stevie tugged at the yarn to unroll some more from the tight ball. "I can't even remember the last time she wore a dress or let me do her hair. I'd like to have a girly girl."

Lindsey dropped his tool again, sitting back on his heels. "Stevie, promise me, if we do welcome a baby boy, you will not try it on him."

Stevie laughed heartily, she shook her head. "Don't you worry. I'll let him go nuts with monster trucks and all that."

Breathing a sigh of relief, Lindsey continued on assembling the crib with more success than when he started. "If it is a boy-" He began again after a short while. "Have you thought about any boy names?"

"Honestly?" Stevie shrugged. "Not really." She said, almost embarrassed to admit it. "It's not that I don't want to have a boy, don't get me wrong, but I'm- I'm having a hard time imagining myself being a boy mom. We had a girl first and we know what to expect. I'm afraid that I wouldn't know how to raise a boy."

"Oh, baby." Lindsey gave her a sympathetic smile and rose to his feet to go stand by her side again. "We didn't have a clue with Avery either." He reminded, crouching down. "But we figured it out, right?"

"I guess." Stevie nodded her head slightly. "I mean, it'd be cute seeing you chase a mini version of you around the house." She smiled a little, tilting her eyes up to look at him. "But if he looks anything like you, we're going to have to put a much higher fence up to keep all the girls away."

Laughing, Lindsey bent down to kiss the top of her head. "I'm glad you still think I'm cute."

"Mhm, I do." Stevie cocked her head back and pursed her lips.

"Good, I think I'm still pretty cute too." Lindsey pecked her on the lips and returned to his project.

"You were supposed to say that I am." Stevie gave him a look as if asking, are you kidding me?

"You're the cutest of 'em all." Lindsey grinned and blew her a kiss from across the room. "So, are there any boy names you like..."
