Mail walked down the stairs, almost reaching the ground floor but he was surprised when he saw the light on the ground floor lit up.

//Who turned on the lights? // Mail muttered to himself softly. But before he could step down the stairs, he had to freeze his feet when he heard people talking.

“And did you know that Gap and Mail are like this too,” A voice that Mail recognised well as Gap's father was talking about him and Gap.

“Can't you accept it? That they are like this?” Gap's mother's voice asked back in a serious tone. This caused Mail to feel his heart shrink to the bottom of his chest when he learned the subject of their late-night talk. He didn't know if there was anyone else on the ground floor of the house.

“To be honest I can't accept it," Gap's father said in a quiet voice. It caused Mail to feel like he had stopped breathing for a moment. The unacceptable word that Gap's father said was enough for Mail to guess what they were talking about.

"Father," Koh's voice called to his father letting Mail know immediately that there must be Brown and Koh sitting as well.

“You want Father to understand you. So You must also understand me. It's troublesome to accept the son raised by Father himself to become like this and love men altogether," Gap's father said directly. Mail couldn't guess how Koh and Brown's faces would look right then. But he could feel his hands and feet getting cold. Upon learning that Gap's parents had found out about his relationship with Gap, Mail's brain stopped functioning for a moment. He didn’t know what else the four of them were talking about cause his brain was frozen and couldn't process anything else. He could only stand there stunned until seeing a shadow of a person walking up the stairs. But Mail couldn't escape in time. Gap's father who took the first step also froze when he saw Mail.

“Uh...” Mail was speechless. Gap's father sighed lightly.

“Did you hear that?” Gap's father asked, not very loudly. Mail gulped the saliva down his throat with difficulty.

“Yes,” he replied in a low voice.

"That's it," said Gap's father, and immediately went upstairs to his room. Mail didn't think to go get his stuff from under the bike seat anymore. He walked back up to Gap's room as well.

“Where's your tool bag?” Gap asked when he saw Mail walking back empty-handed.

“Let's do it once tomorrow. I'm too lazy to bring it up," Mail lied to him.

“So what have you been doing for so long?” Gap asked again.

"What the heck is that long? Have you set the timer? Go to sleep, I have to wake up early tomorrow," Mail still didn't want to tell Gap at this moment. He told Gap not to lie. But about this matter, he doesn't know if he should tell Gap directly or not.

"Okay, let's go to sleep, I'll set my alarm clock," Gap said without any suspicion. Because Mail always had such a calm attitude. They both lay down after Gap turned off the lights in the room. Mail opened his eyes in the darkness. Now he felt like he had hit a dead end. Gap's family is very nice to him so Mail doesn't want to cause trouble for them. He knows the pain and suffering that comes from family disputes and he doesn't want to cause Gap the same misery that he's experienced. Mail admits he loves Gap more and more each day so he doesn't want to be the cause of his lover's sufferings when Gap has always tried to lessen his pain. Mail tried to cover his eyes to sleep knowing full well that it would be hard for him to get any sleep tonight.
