"Tails? I came over as fast as I could, S'matter?" I sniffed, curled on the couch, holding my knees, sobbing.

"Isn't that Louis' sweater?"

"It still smells like him..." I whined. Wily whipped out her phone and texted someone. Zayn's Vas Happenin'? Text tone rang a few moments later. She gave me an odd look.

"He's only at the store."

"He left me, Shalice! I'm gonna have to raise this baby on my own...how? How will I do it?! What am I gonna do?!" My voice was high and squeaky in hysterics, often cracking and wavering. Tears poured down my cheeks.

"He said you didn't want to go. You told him you wanted to watch Dog Whisperer...you guys don't even have a dog...and your pregnancy irrationality is very severe."

"I am not being irrational!" I screeched. "Tell him he's never seeing MY baby! MINE!"

"Yeah no. I'm not going to stand for this I came because I thought there was a problem not this hormonal imbalance thingy.-"

"You can't leave me Wily! What if the doctor comes for me?!"

"You're STILL stuck on that movie?" It wasn't just a movie, and I wouldn't waste my breath explaining it to her. It was a WARNING. I just wasn't naive enough to think of it as 'some movie'. Louis agreed with me. He rolled his eyes and smiled and said a clipped fine, but he agreed. And that was enough for me. Until he LEFT me.

"Fine! I don't need you, or him, I've got this blanket! He's all I really need!" I howled. "He's always been EVERYTHING I needed!" My lip trembled, but I clung to Blanket all the same. Shalice just stood there, eyebrow raised.

"Right. I'll leave you two to have a baby and raise it then." I held my steely glare, eyes blurred by tears. I felt like my insides were jelly, as easy to knock over as a house of cards. I locked my jaw, trying not to cry out anymore. I forced out the thought of Louis' warm embrace, keeping me cozy on the plane flights or just in sleep. And how lovely it sounded. I turned away from my heart's longing for him. He left me!

"Still here, Shalice?" So lost in my thoughts, I hadn't noticed Louis setting groceries on the counter.

"She didn't seem emotionally stable."

"I appreciate you keeping her company, Shalice. Don't know what I'd do if what I'd do if she went off the deep end without a lifeguard."

"Excuse me?!" He ignored my appalled shriek. He and Shalice were talking while I rambled loudly with words grouped so I didn't even know what I was saying. I gave up talking and I just curled up with a pillow and the blanket thrown over me. I couldn't sleep though, too worked up.

"You okay, button?" Louis called from the kitchen. I sniffed, annoyed he just now asked, but didn't look at him. I wiped the wet from my face and glowered at the soap opera mumbling on the TV.

"S'matter, Bel? Need some sleep?"

"Some? Is that a rhetorical question?" Shalice gave him the ultimate really look. I shrugged but avoided his gaze. He kissed my forehead, smile curling his lips before he moved.

"Cozy in my sweater, button?" I pouted. He shook his head and got up, leaving me to myself. He walked Shalice out and quietly unpacked what he didn't already put away from his foraging trip. I picked through my brain for something to say. I let out an exasperated sigh.

"You've been acting kookier every day, Shelby." I hadn't heard him not call me by his nicknames I forgot how just my name rolled of his tongue, manipulated by his accent. It tugged at my heart, warming me like hot chocolate in winter's storm.
