Your POV

By the time we arrived, it was already daylight. I saw a titan about to eat the girl, Krista and launched myself at it, full speed. I sliced its name just before it grabbed her and landed on a pillar of the once magnificent castle. I turned to the remaining teens and told them, "Krista, all of you, get back. It's okay, let us take care of this." The rest of the team launched themselves at the titans and began slicing the titans down. I kept killing titan after titan, counting about 8 kills. Finally, after the last one was dead, I landed on the ground near the kids from the 104th that weren't on the mission. "Are you guys alright?!" I asked with urgency and wide eyes, scanning them for injuries. Thankfully, they seemed mostly okay, a tall blonde boy had a sling on his arm, but he seemed like he was faring well enough. I looked through the group, but I didn't see Krista. "Where's Krista?" I asked, hoping she was still alive. A tall and lanky boy with black hair pointed behind me. I turned and saw her knelt over a girl who was missing an arm and a leg. I walked over and knelt next to her, seeing that the girl was alive, but she also had titan shifter marks.

Krista smiled at her and told her softly, "Just as promised, my real name is Historia." I narrowed my eyes and turned to Hanji who gave me the same look back. So, the girl they mentioned Krista was always with, Ymir, was also a titan shifter. Ymir closed her eyes, but a smile graced her face.

We made it to the top of Wall Rose, finally a safe place to rest. I was knelt down next to Eren, watching the woods in silence. However, it was interrupted by a wince followed by a quiet, "Son of a bitch." I glanced behind me and saw the boy with the sling, rubbing his injured arm.

"You okay over there, Reiner?" Eren asked. Oh yeah, I remember his name now. They told me them on the way here.

"Not by a long shot. A titan almost gnawed my arm off. Pathetic. All I could think was, 'this is how I go.'" He said, like he was reliving the experience. I understood. Sometimes, I still get nightmares about Isabel and Furlan, begging me to save them. But I'm always too late. I was pulled from my thoughts by the sound of a capable retracting. I looked down and saw Armin coming up the wall. When he stopped, I reached my arm out and hoisted him up.

"What else you supposed to think at a time like that? You're only human," Eren comforted.

"Don't you get it?! This was my second time. Armin, remember? Go on. Tell them how Annie nearly crushed me like an insect," He says.

"Yeah," Armin breaths out.

"Thats twice I've nearly died now. What are the chances I'll survive a third time. This is what it really means. What it is to be a soldier. Your spirit breaks and the body follows. Ugh, no good whining about it now. At least not till we can plug up the wall," he explained. Something about him was slightly off putting. I don't know why, but I felt extremely on guard and anxious. As if something were about to happen.

"That's true. The two of you have been driven far enough away from your hometown as it is. This is it. This is where we draw the line," Eren sats determinedly.

"Truer words were never spoken! Home! Let's go! We've been here long enough. Compared to everything else we had to go through the rest is easy," Bertholt said hopefully to Reiner.

"You're right. We don't have much further to go until it's done," Reiner replied just as happily.

"Huh? What are you guys talking about?" Eren asked them, just as confused as the rest of us. But before we could get an answer, Hannes came galloping in on a horse. He grappled up the wall and we all ran over to see what the situation with the wall was.

"The wall's perfectly fine," he said while pulling himself up.

"What?" Eren asked in shock.

"Spent all night trying to find where they were getting in. But between Trost and Crolla District, there's nothing. No hole anywhere," he explains.
