Your POV

I shot awake, screaming bloody murder as tears streamed down my face. Within seconds, Levi was beside me, holding me against him as I cried. All of my memories from my childhood that I couldn't seem to remember, came flooding back to me. I was hit with all the pain and horror of watching all those terrible things and my brother's betrayal.

After a few minutes, my sobs turned into quiet sniffles. I sat up wiping my eyes and taking a few slow breaths. Levi leaned forward as well, his hand running up and down my back. "Was it a nightmare?" Levi asked softly.

I shook my head, eyes wide as I turned my head to face him, "It was so much worse."

He seemed confused, but I didn't have time to explain. I shot up and grabbed the navy-blue book that had been sitting on my desk the last two days. I couldn't bring myself to open it before, but now I needed to.

Seeing me flying around my room like a mad woman, Levi got up as well, trying to calm me down, "Woah, woah. What's going on? Talk to me, Y/N."

"I need to read this," I replied, clutching the book to my chest, "I need to understand."

Levi's eyes were searching mine, trying to get some indication as to what I was possibly dealing with. "Y/N, I'm trying to help you. But I need to understand what just happened."

"I remembered!" I cried, my eyes welling with tears once again, "I remembered everything from my childhood! Levi, it was so awful!"

He brought me into his arms once again, holding me as I did my best not to cry. "It's okay. I'm here. We're gonna get through this, alright?" I nodded against his chest. After a second, he stepped back, keeping his hands planted on my hips. "We'll go through the book. But first, why don't you get dressed, then we'll sit down with Hanji and talk?" I nodded, letting out a breath as I did. "Okay. Good."

He stepped outside my room, but I knew he was still standing just on the other side of the door. I took comfort in that. I quickly got dressed, throwing on my special uniform for ceremonies and grabbing my book. Levi and I went straight to Hanji's office. The door was already propped open, so I just walked in. She looked up, her injured eye wrapped up in bandages.

"Y/N. What's wrong?" She asked, seeing the look on my face and the blue book in my hands.

"I remember," I told her, "I remember everything."

She shot out of her chair immediately, knowing exactly what I meant. "You remember? But how?"

I shook my head, "My dad. I saw all of his memories while I was sleeping. Then, I woke up and remembered everything from my perspective. I'll explain everything. And then we need to read this book."

Hanji nodded, and the three of us sat down. I set the book in front of me and then began my story. We sat for an hour while I was explaining everything from my memories and my father's memories. I told them everything I had witnessed and everything I had been taught from my parents.

When I was finished, I dried my tears and took a deep breath before grabbing hold of the book. "I'm finally ready to read what he left to me. Hopefully, it'll answer some more of my questions about my titan and my ring."

I glanced between them before slowly opening the book. The first page was filled with a letter written to me. I began reading aloud as Hanji and Levi listened.

"Dear Y/N,

My precious daughter. If you're reading this, then my time has already come to pass my abilities to your brother. There're so many things I wish to tell you, but I would never be able to write them all down. So, I'll do my best to get the most important points.
