Levi's POV

From the corner of my eye, I saw Y/N examining her ring. She seemed confused. I saw her reach out to touch it, then her eyes rolled back, and she collapsed. "Y/N!" I shouted with concern. I dropped down next to her, pulling her unconscious body into my arms. "Y/N, wake up!" I pleaded while holding her face in my hands.

"What happened?" Hanji asked, dropping down next to me.

"I don't know. She touched her ring and then she collapsed," I explained.

Hanji placed her hand to Y/N's wrist, "She's alive. My only guess is that it has something to do with her titan powers. All we can do is wait." I clenched my jaw as I continued to hold the girl tightly. Please, Y/N. Please, wake up.

Your POV

Flashes of memories that weren't mine passed in front of me. It was like I was seeing through someone else's eyes. First, I saw a young boy, about 6, standing with my dad, who looked much younger than the last time I saw him. The boy was blond and resembled my father a great deal. Then, I saw the same boy holding a little girl's hand as they smiled at each other. But the little girl... was me. I could only have been about 5. Then, it was my dad, the boy, me, and the blond woman I saw in my ring all standing together, smiling brightly. Next, it was the woman wearing my ring. After that, I was in my dad's arm's crying as the boy with blond hair watched us sadly. Then, the blond woman was crying, blood and bruises littering her once beautiful features. Next it was me, when I was about 7, and my dad holding two syringes to my arm. We were in the forest at night, and I was crying. I remember this memory. It was one that I had nightmares about. Then, I saw an image that wasn't a memory. It couldn't have been. I saw myself, although I looked much older, maybe in my late thirties. I was sitting on a throne, wearing an elegant dress and a small crown. Beside me were two young children, a girl with jet black hair and e/c eyes, and a younger boy with h/c hair and grey eyes. In an instant, everything came rushing back to me. I remember everything from my past. Who I really was and where I really came from.

Suddenly, my eyes shot open, and I gasped for air. I sat up and tried to take deep breaths to calm my heart rate. I couldn't handle all of this knew information. I couldn't process any of it. "Y/N, what happened? Are you okay?" Levi asked. I turned to him, my eyes darting around wildly as I continued to breathe deeply, although it didn't seem to be working. I felt like I was drowning, and I couldn't get any air in my lungs.

"I remember. I remember everything," I managed to say as my body trembled.

"Y/N, you need to calm down. Take some deep breaths," Hanji instructed.

"I-I can't," I wheezed out. My eyes began to well with tears, I felt like I was dying.

"Y/N, I need you to look at me," I heard Levi say softly. I turned to him and met his gaze, my eyes still wide and alert. He cupped my face with his hands and made sure I was focused on him. "I'm right here, okay? I will always protect you. I made you a promise, remember?" He asked. I nodded, remembering his words from only a few days ago. He promised to protect me and never let anyone hurt me again. And I believe him because he loves me.

My breathing began to slow and my adrenaline started to decline. I leaned forward and wrapped my arms around Levi's neck, taking in the familiar and comforting sent. His arms went around my waist and gripped me tightly. "I love you," I said, only loud enough for him to hear.

"I love you too," he replied just as quietly. Suddenly, the carts stopped, causing Levi and I to separate. I turned and saw we had arrived at the chapel.

"Y/N, are you okay to go in?" Hanji asked. I nodded confidently and we all jumped out of the cart. I had to go save my brother. Now that I knew the truth, I know that my father was right. Eren and I are the key to saving humanity.
