💙 Ten NCT - Hiding an Injury

"Good morning, WayV." The dance teacher greeted with a smile. "We're starting with Phantom today."

"Okay." The members all nodded in agreement.

At the end of the day, Ten knew he was injured. His ankle hurt indescribably and it hurt 10 times more very time he walked on it.

However, he chose not to tell the members. Kun and Taeyong had enough on their plate and if he told anyone else they'd ask one of the leaders.

"Okay, tomorrow there's vocal recording, and a photoshoot for Ten and Taeyong." The manager said. "Kun and Chenle also have a photoshoot."

Ten internally groaned, knowing his ankle wasn't going to hold out.

As the day progressed, so did the pain in Ten's ankle.

"Hey, are you alright?" Taeyong whispered, noticing the way Ten limped.

"Yeah I'm fine, hyung." Ten smiled. Taeyong didn't believe him, but decided not to be nosy, thinking if it was serious Ten would say something.

Another week went by, and finally his ankle couldn't take it anymore. He lay on the floor as Kun, Winwin, Xiaojun, Hendery and Yangyang surrounded him.

"Ten, this is bad." Kun said. "Yo ushouldve told one of us."

"I'm sorry." Ten whimpered. "I didn't want to bother anyone."

"Ten, an injury isn't going to bother anyone. It's different from Yangyang whining he's tired after 15 minutes."

"Hey!"

"Be quiet." Xiaojun nudged the maknae.

"Come one, let's go to the hospital." Kun said. "Winwin, can you pick him up?"

"No-" Winwin lifted Ten with ease, carrying him into the car.

It turned out Ten's ankle had been fractured in two places.

"How you managed to walk I don't know." The doctor shook his head. "Mr Lee, you're lucky your bones didn't shift."

"Bones can shift?" Hendery's eyes were wide open, making Dr Kang chuckle.

"Yes, young man. They can shift very easily." He said. "Now, I suggest Ten here to keep off his left for at least three months. No dancing for six months."

Ten was very hard on himself, to say the least. He blamed himself for not telling anyone sooner.
