2 weeks later
It was 2 weeks before Finals and Sophie was panicking. She was doing homework when her mind wandered somewhere else. She still had to figure out what she was going to do for the show. One part of the Finals was putting on a show, showcasing all your abilities. Sophie decided she would have a speech, but nothing else came to mind. She was putting away her homework when a pair of hands wrapped around behind her. She breathed in the familiar scent of Vanilla and Coconut.
" Hey Keefe," Sophie said not even looking up
" How did you know it was me?" Keefe asked playfully, letting go of her
She leaned back smiling at him
" Who else would greet me in, such a cute way?" She kissed him
" Aw, Foster did you just call me cute?" Keefe laughed pulling her closer
She pulled away, crossing her arms
" Hm, now I regret it" She smirked, trying to look mad
" Aw, Please forgive me, Baby" Keefe pleaded playing along.
" Then you stop doing that," She said
He looked confused "What?"
" Stop doing things that make me want to kiss you!" Sophie laughed
Keefe smiled and pulled her in for a kiss. After about 10 seconds Sophie pulled away resting her head on his chest.
"So what do you need?" Sophie asked
Keefe smiled " Ha, You know me so well Foster"
"Yeah, Well, I am your Girlfriend, after all" she replied playing with a strand of his hair
Keefe rubbed the back of his neck and laughed nervously
" I may or may not have said I'll be attending the Mentors Ball with my girlfriend"
" KEEFE, You did not?" Sophie glared at him, pulling back
" Heh, I did " Keefe mumbled fingering his collar
" Oh my god, Keefe? I swear, I will kill you" Sophie fumed already walking to their big closet
"You love me too much" Keefe smirked, " Oh did I also mention that it's in 2 hours?"
" KEEFE!!!" Sophie screamed from inside the Closet
" And that's my cue to run" Keefe spoke already backing out of the room.
Sophie was very mad at Keefe, She had two hours to get ready!! She quickly put on a beautiful, Ice blue dress, ruffles everywhere. She was sure she was going to break her ankle but it was the Mentors Ball, everyone is Noble and everyone was sure to be dressed extravagantly. She called Biana, who was more than happy to assist her. After 2 Hours Sophie was finally ready and met Keefe outside of their Homegate. Sophie knew that Leo was at her parent's house so she wasn't worried about him being alone in the house.
" Fo-Sophie you look breathtaking" Keefe squeaked, his jaw hitting the floor. Sophie laughed at his expression.
" And you look handsome" Sophie replied, her previous anger melting away when she saw her gorgeous Boyfriend waiting for her
" So," He said drawing out the word, "does that mean you're not mad at me anymore?" Keefe asked, leading them to LeapMaster
" No, I'm not mad, But you can't do that again got it?" Sophie answered hooking her arm through his.
"OK got it Lady Fos-bos" Keefe laughed, wincing when Sophie hit him.
Foxfire looked amazing, With floating lights everywhere and elegant decorations. Streamers hung in nearby trees changing color every minute. Some kind of balloons were floating out of the place, popping when it touched someone. She twirled in delight, happy that she could take her mind off of the finals. She looked back to see Keefe staring at her, a goofy smile painted on his face.
" Keefe, you're staring" Sophie sang smiling, Keefe laughed and came closer to her
"Who wouldn't?" he replied looking at her. At his intense gaze, a million butterflies fluttered in her stomach, and her face was on fire. Everything in the background faded into a faint hum. Each touch sent electricity, shooting through her veins at a terrifying speed. His warmth engulfed her, leaving her at peace. Damn, if I wasn't in love with him before, I'm definitely now she thought to herself. Scooting closer to him she leaned in and they kissed, Fireworks erupting in her head. His lips were softer than dandelions, tasting, sweeter than cotton candy. Seconds pass and Sophie knows that she wants, sorry, NEEDS to spend the rest of her life with him. Keefe Sencen.She pulled back " I love you" She whispered against Keefe's lips. Keefe smirked
" Knew you couldn't resist me," he said, thus breaking the moment. Sophie laughed and pulled him to the Food stand, she could practically hear the Mallowmelt calling her. Sophie was stuffed with all kinds of Elvin sweets and she was sure, she was going to be on a sugar rush the next morning.
" Wanna Dance, My Lady?" Keefe asked bowing and holding out his right arm. Sophie giggled and curtsied " Of course, My Lord" and with that, they waltzed onto the dance floor, joining the couples who were also dancing. Before they knew it, they were in the middle and everyone was dancing around them. Sophie didn't notice and her eyes were on the one and only Keefe.
He cleared his throat and smiled nervously coming to a stop. Little did Sophie know, her friends and family were in the crowd, dressed up, and were taking a video. She turned on her empathy and found Keefe was nervous, excited, and filled with love. She frowned, Why was he nervous? She then noticed that everyone was watching her and Keefe.
KEEFE'S POV
Keefe cleared his throat and smiled, coming to a full stop. He knew that everyone Sophie cared about was in the crowd, watching them. Sophie closed her eyes for a second and opened them. Keefe knew she was checking her emotions. She frowned, she probably took note of the nervousness he was feeling at the moment. He could see the gears turning in her head. Sophie looked around her and saw everyone looking at her.
Keefe cleared his throat again.
" Keefe? Sophie hissed
Keefe got down on one knee, He had read about humans doing this. He started talking and Sophie's hand to her mouth, tears welling up in her eyes,
" Sophie, I asked you if you were lost the first time I met you. I didn't realize I was when your eyes met mine. All my happy memories are with you and I want to make more of them with you. My life changed, from the very moment I saw you. I was happier. I was a better version of myself. All your smiles make up my whole day. I'm sure The sky's more blue with you next to me. So today, I stand on one knee wanting to ask you one thing". Keefe took a deep breath
"Will you marry me?"
