"...Bad News.." ~Sid
20 010 Years Ago
The Ice AgeThe sky darkened a bit as (Y/N)'s eyes widen in fright, an image of her dead body flew across her mind.
'Surely their kidding... right?' She thought. They wouldn't do something so reckless just for fun, especially murder.
Manny looked down at his friend before looking towards the rhinos, his narrow eyes now holding anger, a subtle warning directed at the bigger animals. "Please don't kill us! I didn't mean to! It was an honest mistake." Sid cried, scared for his life.
Manny quickly glanced at the sloth, for he had forgotten he was there before looked towards the two horned animals in front of him. "You know, I don't like animals that kill for pleasure." Manny slowly rises up, trying to intimidate the rhinos by showing his bigger size.
The rhinos didn't get the message and continued to call out. "Save it for a mammal that cares." "I'm a mammal that cares." Sid balances onto his legs, holding his finger in the air. (Y/N) pushes up from her kneeling position with a concerned expression on her face, "Me too."
Manny looks at the two animals beside him before tilting his head towards the sink hole, separating the two groups of animals. "Okay, look, if either of you make it across that sinkhole in front of you, you get the sloth. And the kid."
"What!"
"That's right, you losers. You take one step, and you're dead!"
(Y/N) looked up at Manny in betrayal, while Sid picks up a pebble and throwing it across the sinkhole, trying to demonstrate what would happen to them if they stepped foot into the substance.
But the pebble did not sink.
Instead, it bounced off the pale surface and stopped at the feet of the two rhinos. The said rhinos smirked, sharing a glance before looking at the animals across. The trio all held a dumbfounded expression on displayed on their faces, all surprised for different reasons.
"You were bluffing, huh?"
"Yeah, yeah, that was a bluff."
"We're dead."
Sid slowly backs up, turning around running away, (Y/N) right behind him. "Get him!" The rhinos roared, running across the 'sinkhole' and towards the mammoth. Manny froze with wide eyes as surprise crossed his face before his eyebrows curved inward and his eyes turned sharp. Manny charged towards the rhinos, his tusks crashing against their horns as he used his strength to keep them back.
Unfortunately, it was no match since there was two of them and one of him. The mammoth started sliding backward along the grass into both (Y/N) and Sid, who grabbed onto his back legs, attempting to put some distance between them and the cliff a few yards behind them. "Manny!" (Y/N) the girl shouted at the mammoth as her and Sid's feet began to dangle off the edge of the cliff, "Push!"
Manny kept his eyes trained on the rhinos, trying to gather all his strength. He hoisted his body and lunched forward, pushing the two animals away from him and on their backs, stunning them momentarily. (Y/N) and Sid were brought back to the ground, both rushing to stand. Sid ran in front of Manny and looked towards the rhinos, "Yeah! Woooo!"
