"The silence of the night was soothing like rushing tides but with tranquility comes commotion."

"Hey! Daniel better get ready we're going out to the docks at eleven!" Daniel's father spoke while shaking the boy awake like a ship at high tide. The boy squinted his eye open. "Got it, Dad." He turned to where his father was, to see the man was already gotten outside getting their fishing line out of the garage.

Daniel got up, brushed his teeth, showered, and got dressed up. Grabbing some eggs and bread he sat down on turned on their Television. As the static buzz ended, the noisy tune of the new channel rang across the living room like the chilling wind of winter. "Mornin' Myrtle. This is your local new station WLAL with your morning news." The News Broactor commented. "As wind and tide levels continue to rise in intensity locals are staying indoors decreasing sales in the docks boat rentals. On to Tom our-" The man continued but was swiftly cut off by Dan's comment. "Oh, hope Ricky's is still up still got a coupon on some ice cream," The boy said taking the last crumb of his plate and shutting off the TV.

"Oi Dan! C'mon the frost caps are going melt by the time we'd get there!" His father let out. As he heard those words the boy grabbed his coat off the rack, exited his house, and entered his Dad's truck headed to the docks.

As they arrived at the docks, a bearded man looked over at Daniel and Liam's arrival as a light beamed in his eyes. "HEY! Dan, my man!" The man exclaimed. "Oi, Rick. Good to see you're still out here" Liam sounded off shutting the truck door. As the two men started to reminisce, got out of the truck, put on his old bucket cap, and took his fishing line from the bed of the truck. While he grabbed the string a cool breeze flowed across Daniel's face, and the cracks of leaves can be heard from trees across the beach.

After starting at the sky, Daniel turned to a vending machine outside of Rickey's put a couple of quarters into the machine, and out popped a Pepsi Cola, and took a drink out of the Cola with a smile the size of thread dropped on his face. "Hey Dan! Come with the lines!" Dan's father shouted. "Comin' Dad!" The boy walked to the car grabbed his father's line and net and walked to their boat. He loaded the boat with their supplies and unhooked the anchor. While they drifted off in the sea Old Man Ricky waved goodbye, and Dan waved back to man.

As they went deeper and deeper into the sea the wind grew stronger and stronger, rocking the ship left to right, side to side like a crib during an earthquake.

"And now tie the loop..." Liam commented advising Daniel on what to do. "Okay...There!" Daniel exclaimed, "Now what?" He questioned. "Throw it into the sea and wait." As the man through his line into the ocean, his son replicated his father's actions. The moment drifted in silence, a cooling calm between the two as the rough waves swerve the boat up and down. *BEPITEE BEEP BEBEBEP* Liam's phone rang, breaking the silence between the Father Son pair. "Just give me a sec lad, ok?" Daniel's Father told his son while entering the ship's cabin.

Just as he left the scene something tugged on Daniel's fishing line, shocked he took hold of the pole trying to pull the fish up onto the Port of the boat. The boy struggled and grunted it as if he was deadlifting four hundred pounds, his muscles tightening like squished stress balls. "Dad! Come out, I caught a big one!" His father raised his finger going back to his call. But Daniel's struggle ended with an echoing thud on the Port. "*sigh* I-i snagged yeah!"  Daniel said turning to his catch, but he was in awe at what landed next to him. A girl with watery blue hair was laying, right next to him. A shocked expression filled his face he looked a her.
