Aslan did not stay very long after the wedding, but made sure to once again congratulate Edmund and I before vanishing from the party.

The nerves I had been feeling earlier had evaporated and everything was perfect. The decorations were beautiful. The food was delicious. The cake was scrumptious. Everyone I wanted to be there was there having a good time. And as I danced my first dance as husband and wife with Edmund I wished for the moment to last forever.

"I wish we could stay like this forever."

I chuckled, "I was thinking the exact same thing."

"You were?"

"Of course, but we must remember this is merely the first day of our union. We have many more days, months, and years to come."

Edmund returned a smiled and kissed my nose, "I suppose so. We shall head out on the boat to the Lone Islands for our honeymoon at sunset."

I smiled, laying my head on his chest, "I can't wait."

However all good things come to an end.

I didn't think about it much as I was talking with Sly Fox, but I remember seeing a messenger walk over to Sir Kastor and Sir Hector, then the two of them passing the message to High King Peter and the Queens, and finally High King Peter walking across the room to Edmund who was speaking with King Lune and the twin princes.

Soon the room was abuzz with something else and that's when Queen Susan sauntered over to me, "I feel like I should apologize to you."

"What do you mean, Susan?"

"Edmund is about to ask you to postpone your honeymoon."

"What?! Why?!"

Susan huffed, "Apparently, a white stag has been spotted near Lantern Waste and the spark igniting in Peter's eyes as he received the news was enough for me to know he wants to immediately order a royal hunt to be organized and as you know-"

I finished her sentence, "Edmund is not going to want to miss an official hunt, especially for such a highly valued and sought after prey." I huffed, "I'm going to agree, but I won't be happy about it."

Queen Susan snickered, "Make your new husband sweat a little."

"Oh, I intend to." I looked up seeing Edmund's eyes lock with mine and he came over to me as Susan walked away to engage in conversation with a lady of Galma.

"My love," Edmund started, "would you be opposed to postponing our honeymoon?"

I frowned, "Why? Is there something wrong with the boat or provisions?"

"Uh, no. Peter just received word that a White Stag has been spotted near Lantern Waste. he wants to organize a hunt right away."

"Ok, High King Peter and the Queens can go on the hunt and we will learn the result upon our return."

Edmund got even more nervous, "Um, actually, I was hoping we could stay and participate in the hunt as well. If I catch the stag I can make a wish for us, which will most certainly come true. If the legends are true."

"If the legends are true." I grabbed a goblet from one of the servers, taking a swig and then crossing my arms, "Say I agree to this suggested postponement, which I am not. How long would our honeymoon be delayed?"

"Not long a few weeks at most."

"Hmm." I stayed silent for a moment before answering, "Fine. make arrangement to postpone the honeymoon, but you and I will sleep in separate rooms and tents until we return to Cair Paravel."

"Why will we sleep separately?"

"Because Edmund, we are now husband and wife and you are postponing our honeymoon to go on a sudden surprise hunt with your brother. I want to remind you every day that I am mad at you, so we shall sleep separately."

"And if I refuse?"

"You can refuse, but know I will remain at Cair Paravel and be tempted every day you are gone to go on our planned honeymoon without you."

"You wouldn't dare."

I smiled, drinking the rest of my wine, placing the goblet firmly into Edmund's hands, leaning in, "Do I look like I am making a joke?"

There was a long silence before Edmund caved, "Fine. we shall travel with your specifications and I shall inform Peter of the same."

I smiled, kissing Edmund, "I merely said we would not sleep together, everything else is on the table, so wipe that frown from your lips. I love you."

Edmund smiled back, returning the kiss, "I love you too."

Edmund bounded back over to Peter who looked over at me and I nodded, just to confirm to him Edmund was telling the truth and Peter grabbed a glass making noise and quieting the room, "Narnians, thank you all for coming to celebrate the union between my brother and the Crown's most trusted advisor. As many of you have probably heard, the White Stag has been spotted near Lantern Waste and, by leave of the bride, I am happy to announce WE WILL BE GOING ON A HUNT!"

The room erupted into cheers and Sir Kastor and Sir hector came over to me. Kastor bringing me my wine as Hector spoke, "I'm surprised you agreed to this."

I took a sip, "Oh. I had conditions. Mostly ones placed upon my husband, but even I have to admit, I am curious if the myth about the White Stag's capture is true."

Kastor huffed, "Are you sure you are alright with cutting the wedding ceremonies short, my lady?"

I huffed, "I am a little disappointed, but today isn't just one day. This is the first day of the rest of my life of happiness with King Edmund." I looked over to see the Kings and Queens all smiling and laughing with each other and I passed my goblet back to Sir Kastor, "There is nothing I want more than his future happiness with his sibling and his future happiness with me. I then walked away from my knights and over to the Royals, wrapping my arms around Edmund's waist and laying my head on his shoulder as his arm found its placed around my shoulders.

As the party began to wind down, I spent the rest of the evening laughing and chatting with my family.
