It has been one year since the coronation of the kings and queens and remnants of the White Witch's army have been causing problems throughout Narnia.
While Susan remains at Cair Paravel, Peter and Lucy go to the South to assist the King of Archenland as his castle is under attack by a series of crones and minotaurs. Meanwhile King Edmund and I are investigating a rumor of a small division of ogres and werewolves in the Western Woods.
We decided to set up camp right outside the perimeter of the forest. A scout came back to report to us that the rumors were right and there was a small group near the center of the woods.
Edmund suggested he and I to split our force into two, at dawn, and attack them on two fronts. I agreed and started into the forest coming from the South while Edmund's force came from the North.
However our scout was incorrect about the number of the force and suddenly my troops were surrounded and taking heavy losses. I don't know what happened next, but Mayberry tells me that I lost control and entered a blind rage, cutting down enemies left and right and after the battle was over I stood alone in the center of the battlefield covered head to toe in blood and no one would would come near me because they were frightened that I would cut them down as well.
When I came to my senses, I had lost my armor during the fray and only wearing my red dress, which was torn in in several places. I was breathing heavily and on the ground around me were the remains of dead enemies. The remainder of my forces would not approach me and stayed a good 200 feet away.
When Edmund's force arrived, he saw the carnage that I had wrought and still was brave enough to approach me. As soon as he touched my shoulders I dropped my weapons and looked into his eyes and said, "You're late."
"My apologies, my lady, I would have been here sooner, but-"
"I do not want to hear your excuses, Your Highness. I am tired and wish to go to sleep. Can you please send for a tent?"
"Of course, Lady Emmaline."
The next day rumors of the "Red Lady" spread like wildfire throughout Narnia. And from that day forward, I would be known as the most fearsome warrior in all of Narnia and that name would haunt me for the rest of my life.
