Prologue.

~Sanjana

"Sahil! Dinner is ready" Sanjana called Sahil as she arranged all the plates at the dinner table. She made Biryani today which was her all-time favourite dish. The sweet aroma filled the air in her small apartment.

"Sana di did you make Biryani?" Sahil asked in his baby voice.

"Yes superman now quickly fill your tummy," she said, tickling his stomach as he laughed.

She helped him to sit on the table and placed his crutches under the table.

"Sana di Where's Papa?" He asked with a mouthful of food.

"He's outside, and what did I say about not speaking before you finish what's in your mouth?"

"Sorry," he said.

"It's ok baccha"

Suddenly a voice came from outside which belonged to her father. Sanjana's heart started beating loudly as she stood up from the chair and slowly walked towards the door.

"Sahil, baccha you stay here and don't speak. Okay?"

He nodded in response. She twisted the door Knob and opened the door. She was shocked by the sight which was in front of her. Her papa knelt before a man, sobbing while he held onto a man's leg.

"Papa!!" Sanjana screamed as she ran towards her dad, holding onto his shoulders and letting him up on his feet.

"Papa, what's going on?" Sanjana asked as she looked at his dad's tear-streaked face.

"Sanjana stay out of this-" her dad spoke, but he was cut in between by a deep voice.

"Nice show," The man said. At first, she didn't pay attention to him but then she looked closer.

A six-foot tall man with black eyes which almost pierced her soul, in his perfect Armani suit was none other than Lakshay Singh Malhotra.

Sue was stunned. Her eyes almost popped out as they widened beyond their extent. Was she dreaming? No no this was real life as she mentally pinched herself.

"What the..." she trailed off as she didn't find the correct words.

"Mr Sharma care to illustrate?" Lakshay said as stood right in front of her.

"What are you doing here?" Sanjana asked.

"I came here for a purpose Ms Sharma" He spoke. His voice was dark and lethal.

"What purpose?" Sanjana asked as she was clueless.

"Marriage," he said.

"Marriage?"

"Marriage between you and me Ms Sharma."

Present.

Loneliness is a morbid thing. It begins with a feeling to be left alone and evolves into something bigger than anyone can imagine.

That was what happened to Sanjana in the past year she was married to Lakshay. Of course, she knew what was coming her way because she had no other choice, but in this one year, she also gained some people who care for her. Minus her mother-in-law and her dearest husband.
