" This is ridiculous , You have to get married , by this year ? " Yeonjun's friend Sam asked him with Yeonjun giving him a nod . " I just thought my grandpa was going to make me study a lot to become the next CEO , but this one is literally a bomb " Yeonjun said as he took a sip of his Americano .
" Yeonjun don't worry , as long as finding your partner is of your choice , this is in our hands " Sam said making Yeonjun confused . " Simple , just hire someone to marry you , get your inheritance and later you can divorce them , you'll simply have to pay the amount as agreed in the contract to them " Sam said with a smirk .
" But isn't that risky ? I mean the lawyer seems smart and also getting someone to marry me for an act isn't an easy job , they should be trustworthy " Yeonjun said and Sam agreed . " Yeonjun don't worry I'll look for one in meantime , you focus on your other part and also you should agree for this tasks " Sam said and Yeonjun agreed . It seemed risky but it was a good idea to get his shares as of now .
Yeonjun entered the house later and saw Beomgyu coming down the stairs and crossing him . " Long time no see brother , how was Japan?" Yeonjun asked and Beomgyu turned around giving him a glare .
" It was good without you , I thought you will never come back from US , got bored of girls there ?" Beomgyu asked and Yeonjun gave him a smirk . " I came here for the same reason you came here , by the way what's your tasks ? It's not what I'm thinking right ?" Yeonjun asked and Beomgyu rolled his eyes .
" There's no need for me to tell you that Yeonjun and I'm not interested in yours either , just stay out of my way " Beomgyu said and turned back to leave but stopped at Yeonjun's next words .
" Haa so I was right , he indeed wanted to see the Idol Beomgyu which you can never become " Yeonjun said scoffing . Beomgyu immediately came near him and grabbed his collar , the tension between the brothers was evident .
"Yeonjun , I said stop butting into my business , you didn't hear it ?" Beomgyu said and Yeonjun smirked. "Beomgyu you can never do it , he wanna make you do something you ran off from out of fear ? What made him think money can make you do it ? This is ridiculous " Yeonjun said and Beomgyu's grip became more tight .
" Listen Yeonjun , I will decide whether its my fear or not , whether I can do it or not . Focus on your task there because you are never gonna please the shareholders with this bitch attitude of yours , good luck " Beomgyu said before leaving Yeonjun's collars and walking out .
" He hasn't changed a bit " Yeonjun muttered before leaving to his room .
The big white palace located at the Magic street belongs to none other than the Kang family . Taehyun parked his car tossing the keys to the security before entering the house.
" Sir Taehyun you are back this early ? Shall I make you some orangeade ?" The maid asked him . " No I'm fine Mrs. Hong. By the way where's mom and dad ?" Taehyun asked her and the maid pointed towards the backyard . Taehyun went there and saw his parents discussing about some projects . Taehyun stood their awkwardly until his mom noticed him .
" Oh Taehyunaa , why are you standing there? Come here and sit with us " his mom called him as he took his seat next to her . " Taehyun , your secretary informed me you met the Attorney at Choi's house , how did it go ? " His dad asked him and Taehyun sighed .
" Dad seriously I don't understand , why did you want me to go there? And why am I a part of this ? " Taehyun asked and his parents looked at eachother . " Taehyuna , this was what late Chairman Chanho decided , you know our families have known eachother for decades . Besides that , he wants to give you this because he treated you like his grandson " His dad said and his mom patted Taehyun's shoulder .
" Then he would have just given me right ? Why he wants me to do something I've avoided for long time now , I don't want to do that , I don't care what happens between our families either " Taehyun said standing up and walking the other side and his mom followed him quickly .
" Mom don't try to convince me here , just go and continue your work " Taehyun said in annoyance and his mom smiled at him .
" Taehyunna , I don't know what happened there but remember if he wanted you to do something , it definitely means a lot to you too . He wouldn't have mentioned it thinking about you , so just be patient and listen to your heart Taehyunna , you always say right everything happens for a reason ?" His mom said and Taehyun massaged his temples as he tried to calm down .
" Taehyunna , I know that your dad and I didn't give you the love and time you needed from us , and that worried us since you became cold as ice now yet we know you are still warm from inside . We wanted you to experience how a family is , we wanted you to revive the happy days you lost because of us , this is the best opportunity for that . So Taehyunna ,we are not gonna compel you but think about it , it's a way you forgive us and also for you to explore your other side , we'll respect your decision whatever it is , take care Taehyunna " His mom said patting his head once before leaving him there .
Taehyun sat down on one of the benches there as he felt his legs were tired and gave out . His mind was filled with worries and questions as he processed everything that happened today .He went to his store room and dusted the photoframe . It was a photo of Taehyun holding a trophy which he won during his middle school boxing tournament .
A smile crept on his face as he saw his younger self smiling with joy and pride holding the trophy . He saw all the medals , certificates and trophies arranged neatly in the showcase stand . He felt a strike of pain in his head as his memories at his last ring flashed in his mind . He closed his eyes for a minute trying to arrange his thoughts and let out a deep breathe before opening his big eyes and muttered his next words with a smile .
" I'm gonna do this " .
