(y/n)'s POV:
Today was the day we had all been waiting for, Legacy Day. I was currently at breakfast with Cupid, Apple, Ashlynn, and Briar. Apple had control of the conversation, rambling on about how excited she was for the Legacy Day ceremony. I pushed my food around on my tray, lost in my nervousness for the day ahead of me.
"What if Raven decides not to sign the book?" Apple panics. "If she doesn't sign, then I don't get poisoned, and I don't get my Happily Ever After!"
"And Raven could disappear," I add on, my dislike for Apple evident in my voice.
"Yes, that, too," Apple waves off my concern.
"Seriously, Apple," I cross my arms, "If Raven is considering not signing the book at the cost of her life, maybe you should be concerned with that instead." Our table is deadly silent, Apple's eyes wide in shock and Cupid motioning to me to stop talking. Ashlynn shifts awkwardly in her seat and Briar has a vague look of admiration.
"You just don't get it!" Apple scoffs. "You're not even supposed to have a destiny!" I raise an eyebrow at her, then slam my hands on the table before standing up.
"You know what," I laugh sarcastically, "If you're so delusional that you want to be poisoned and have your friend imprisoned, be my guest." The whole castleteria was staring at us and the air stood still.
With my hands clenched in fists at my sides, I turn to exit the castleteria. My (h/l) (h/c) hair whips around and anger is evident on my face. As I reach the hall, I can hear the pounding of footsteps behind me. Assuming it's Apple, I turn around to glare at her. Instead, I see Sparrow with his hands on his knees trying to catch his breath.
"That," he pants, "Was spelltacular!" I grin at Sparrow before helping him up.
"She's needed to hear that for a really long time," I shrugged, "I just got to be the lucky person who got to tell her." Sparrow laughed and draped an arm around my shoulders.
"I have a feeling something is going to happen this Legacy Day," Sparrow says, causing the mood to drop.
"Ten bucks it's Raven," I joke with a smirk on my face.

Cupid and I were walking back to our dorm so we could get ready for Legacy Day. I was officially freaking out because I forgot the most important part: an outfit.
"Cupid what am I gonna do?!" I ran my hands through my hair. "I can't believe I actually forgot to get a dress for Legacy Day!"
"It's going to be fine, (y/n)," Cupid comforted me. "If you don't have anything, we can always check with Ashlynn and Briar."
"But we shouldn't have to!" I threw my hands in the air. "I'm such an idiot," I mumble into my hands. Cupid lays a gentle hand on my back before unlocking our dorm. I walk in, expecting to face plant into my bed but see a clothing bag and note on the (f/c) and (s/f/c) comforter. I pick up the note to read it.
Dear (y/n),
I figured you may need a Legacy Day outfit. I wore this one as my own, I hope you like it!
Good luck, Madam Maid Marian
I unzipped the bag and gasped. The jacket is a peachy tan color and the sleeves fall in ruffled layers. The back of the jacket acts as a train, trailing longer than the navy blue dress. The dress is a halter with a sharp sweetheart neckline, and two slits on the front of the skirt. Some of the dusty pink ruffles peek out from the top of the slits. Tucked into the bag is also a pair of thigh-high boots the same color as the jacket. They have gold trim and embellishments, as well as gold stiletto heels.
"It's gorgeous!" Cupid gapes as she peers over my shoulder.
"It really is," I say quietly, still in shock. "Thank you, Madam Marian."
With that, Cupid and I began to get ready. Cupid wore a white dress with gold ribbon and pink sashes reminiscent of traditional Greek togas. A pair of feathered wings were on her back and a crown of bright green leaves was in her hair. Cupid wore her usual makeup but curled her hair and pulled it to the side.
I myself put on the outfit Madam Maid Marian gave me. It ended up fitting perfectly and I twirled around a little before going to do my hair and makeup. I started by putting my (h/c) into a braid around my head, intertwining golden leaves and small flowers. I then did my makeup as usual but added some glitter to my eyeshadow. Finally, I placed a veil into my hair, letting it hang down over my face.
"How do I look?" I ask, turning to face Cupid.
"Absolutely stunning!" Cupid claps. "Sparrow's gonna faint at your feet."
"He better," I laugh along with Cupid. "We still have an hour until the ceremony, what are we supposed to do?"
"Be anxious?" Cupid suggests. I glare at her and she puts her hands up in surrender. "Okay, maybe not that," the corner of her mouth curls up into a smile.
"Me and Sparrow were talking earlier," I begin, "Do you have a bad feeling about today, too?"
"A little," Cupid admits. "Apple and Raven have been fighting a lot more recently."
"Me and Sparrow have a bet going," I laugh. "I say Raven's gonna cause it and he says that Headmaster Grimm's gonna cause it. Winner gets ten dollars."
"Put me in for ten on Apple," Cupid blurts. I give her a weird look, silently asking her to elaborate. "She's gonna be worried about Raven the entire time and make herself faint," she shrugs.
