I wake up practically on top of Tommy, and he's still asleep, which doesn't surprise me because I wake up before him most of the time. I reach over to touch his skin. It is as cold as ice, so I pull the blanket up over him. It reminded me of when I used to put a blanket over him in the glade because he loved falling asleep in random places. I see that it is still dark outside. I assume it's early. I admire Tommy while he sleeps for a while. I used to do this a lot in the glade because, to be honest, he's better when he's sleeping, out of the trouble he likes to get in.

I love looking at his face, the faint freckles on his cheeks and the moles on his neck. His soft brown hair that rests just perfectly on his forehead, his perfect nose, and his pink lips. I put my finger to his lips and place a gentle kiss on them, and he smiles, still sleeping. I stroke his cheek, careful not to wake him.

I lay back down and fall back asleep, cuddled up next to Tommy's warm body, safe in his presence.

When I wake, Tommy is sitting upright admiring me and stroking my hair. "Hey." He says in a whisper. "Hey, Tommy." I say back with a smile. "Did you sleep okay?" He asks. I nod slowly, telling him that I woke up before him because I would like to do that more often. If I'm still alive, of course.

We get dressed, and I walk out of my room with Tommy following behind me. Brenda walks past us as we are coming out. "Knew it, lovebirds." She says as she smiles and walks away, winking at us. Me and Tommy both blush.

Me, Tommy, Gally, and Teresa leave and head to the tunnels underground to find away into WCKD. We walk through the tunnels luckily with no cranks this time, unlike the other tunnel I got infected in. My arm is now hurting, and Thomas keeps looking at me. At this point, Gally knows, too. Teresa doesn't, but I think she suspects it because she keeps looking at me. She's smart.

The tunnels are long and take a few hours to walk through. My arm begins to hurt, and when we stop to wait for a train, I lean against a wall, and now I am holding my arm. Thomas walks up to me. "You gonna be okay, Newt." He says softly. "Yeah, I'll be fine." I say, but Thomas frowns. He knows I'm in pain. He leans in and gives me a kiss, not even just a peck, considering Teresa is watching us. A real kiss.

The train finally passes after a few minutes, and Thomas helps me get onto the tracks. He smiles sweetly at me, which gives me enough strength to keep going.

Thomas' pov

He's getting worse. The virus is spreading, and he doesn't have long left, but he will make it. I refuse to lose the love of my life. I repeatedly tell him how much I love him, and we walk hand in hand down the tracks. I keep getting visions of him dying, but not just him. I'm dying, too. I got a vision where Newt turned, and I had to shoot him, but then I shot myself. I know Newt wouldn't want me to die, so if he wants me to live, then he will have to live too. As I told him. Till death do us part.

Newt's pov

The train tracks are long, and what feels like years of walking was probably an hour or so.

We get to the end of the train tracks and crawl out through a tunnel and then. Fresh air. Everyone takes a minute to breathe, and my arm is getting worse. Thomas rubs my back and kisses me on the cheek. He puts his mouth to my ear and whispers, "I love you, Newton." This makes me laugh, and Gally is looking at us confused while Teresa is just smiling at us.

We approach the building, and we get to the door. We all look at Teresa. She hesitates. "We didn't walk all that for nothing." Gally says sassy as usual. "I'll open the door if you promise to stay out of trouble, I don't want any of you dying." She says. "It's your time to shine." I say, smiling sarcastically. She opens the door, and we enter.

A/N I don't really like this chapter, but oh well :/
