Thomas and I make our way back to the others climbing down from the rooftop. We see them standing round a table examining a huge map, trying to find a way into WCKDs building. A huge glass that stands tall so when you're up top you get a view of the whole city. I have to admit it's pretty at night, but what goes on inside is a different story.

Gally and Brenda keep coming up with good ideas, but of course, ways that will harm Teresa and Thomas denies all of them. I glare at him angrily but say nothing. Thomas looks down at his feet. It makes me feel kind of guilty, but he is defending a girl who betrayed us and sold Minho to WCKD.

After a while we can't settle on a plan so we all just decide to head to bed and get some sleep, I mean the best we can I suppose knowing that our fight against WCKD still isn't over. I hear walking outside the door, and I sit up quickly this time, I don't recognise their footsteps. I try to listen closer, but I still can't figure out who it is. I hear heavy breathing. Is it a crank? I hear pacing. No, it can't be cranks don't act like that.

I hear glass smash. Is nobody else hearing this? I get up gulping harshly. I creak open the door to get a better look, but I can't see clearly. It's too dark. The noise stops, and they sit down in the light. Then I see. It's Tommy. My eyes widen. I hear him sobbing. 'What are you doing, mate?' I whisper to him. 'Go away,' he grumbles back.

I debate whether to leave him alone. I don't. I walk over to him and kneel down in front of him. He doesn't look up. 'Tommy,' I say softly. 'I said go Newt,' he says more fiercely. He looks at me, his eyes bloodshot and his face red and puffy from crying. I look down and shine the torch on his hand. It's covered in blood.

I stumble backwards, falling down. 'TOMMY!' I yell. 'What did you do?' I say concerningly. He doesn't reply. I say his name again now with my voice breaking and high-pitched. He looks up. His tears wash away the stained ones that were already on his face. 'I couldn't do it'. He says with his voice shaking. 'What do you mean?' I say even more eager than before. 'I couldn't save them'.

A/N I'm so sorry this is so boring. I have no idea what I'm doing, and I am just making it up as I go. I'll update soon if this does okay :)
