"Falling way too fast
Is it too late for a parachute?"

"Yessssss! Look at my Queen up there!" Taehyung screamed, arms waving in the air.

My arms remained at my side, my mind still racing with the fact that I was here.

Everyone was so free.

Jimin wasn't kidding when he said Pride was something that needed to be experienced.

I felt an elbow nudge my arm, causing me to glance at Taehyung.

"You need to loosen up! Have some fun!" He yelled over the crowd, making me nod, swallowing the lump in my throat.

A minute later my arms still sat by my side as float after float full of drag queens and rainbows and stripes and all sorts of colorful combinations passed us by.

As the finale of the parade neared, the crowd cheered louder and louder around me right as my arms were raised above my head.

I suddenly became aware of Taehyung's chest against my back as his hands moved my arms around in the air.

His breath was against my ear, trying his best to whisper, but still having to talk loudly over the crowd. "My drag queen is about to come through, so you better cheer your pretty little ass off."

His command sent shivers down my spine, encouraging me to let a scream out of my throat, holding my arms up in the air by myself as I began to let myself loosen up.

Even though he no longer supported my arms, his body remained close to mine, dangerously close, and it made the scream in my throat hitch when he got forced against me as the crowd surged forward slightly.

My cheeks flushed red, but I played it off by continuing to cheer.

"So, Jungkookie, what did you think?" Jimin asked as we walked down the street following the big parade.

I couldn't help but smile. "I definitely needed this. Thank you Jimin."

He threw an arm around my shoulder, and I suddenly became aware of Yoongi and Taehyung on our side.

Jimin's lips turned upwards into a slight smirk. "Who wants to get plastered?" He asked before taking off down the sidewalk, causing the three of us to chase after him down the crowded pavement.

We were able to stop and catch our breath when we spotted Jimin's puff of hair in front of a bar. The sign above it read "Allure Bar", the first three letters written in colorful script.

Taehyung sighed, having caught his breath first, and reached for the door handle, holding it until the three of us walked in.

"Welcome in to Allure Bar, where we lure in all the people! Anyone wearing a Pride lei today gets one free shot on the house!" She smiled, motioning for us to find a seat wherever we wanted.

We went for a booth, Jimin and I sitting across from our compatriots.

Yoongi's eyes wandered before they went wide as saucers as the sight of a piano in the corner. "Wow! Does this place have live music?" He asked, pointing to the instrument with his head.

"We do!" The waiter answered, having approached right as he asked. "Every Friday and Saturday night. You play?"

Yoongi nodded, a mysterious look in his eyes. "I play piano, yes! H-How do I find out information about playing here?"

Jimin leaned in close to my ear, excitement oozing from his pores. "Oh my God, Kook, he plays piano. That's so fucking attractive."

I chuckled, attention being brought back to the conversation ahead where Yoongi was thanking the waiter for the flyer he passed along.

Taehyung's eyebrows raised. "Damn, Yoon, you haven't played for people since high school!"

He nodded, visibly swallowing the lump in his throat. "Don't remind me."

"You two have known each other since high school?" Jimin asked, clearly making conversation.

Both males nodded, Taehyung being the one to explain. "We met in Kindergarten! Yoongi farted on a girl on the class and yelled at her for having cooties, and I burst out laughing at it. We've been best friends ever since."

"That's..." Jimin began.

"Hilarious," I finished with a giggle. "You knew that early on you were into more than girls, huh?"

Taehyung's eyes sparkled at the fact that I not only spoke, but also semi-joked around. His lips curved into a smirk as he flagged down the waiter. "We'll each take that free shot we get."

"It's motherfucking Pride, baby!!" I screamed, arm wrapped around Taehyung's shoulders as we stumbled down the sidewalk.

Jimin hiccuped next to me before he took another bite of his pretzel. "Jungkook, you're so drunkkkkk," he sang.

I shook my head, going to respond when Taehyung stopped us, pointing at a news van up ahead.

We merely stood off to the sidelines and watched the newcaster sharing about the events of Pride from the day, until their eyes met ours.

"Here we have some Pride Festival attendees!" The newcaster spoke, walking over to us. The camera followed suit.

We all plastered fake, nervous, sober-ish smiles on our faces.

"Now that the Pride Festival is over, what was your favorite part?"

"The parade!" I shouted, the alcohol choosing to answer for me. "Seeing so many icons was inspiring!"

The newscaster nodded, asking us several more questions thanking us for our time and ending the clip.

I was so drunk that I didn't think of the consequences.
