I parked my car in front of the grocery store and walked towards the entrance in the hope of finding something for my cook to make. I walked towards the aisles and started picking up random things. The last couple of days have been calm; dust has settled on the rumor of me becoming a father. Also I have been binge-watching different romantic movies of certain someone.
As soon as i turned around to go and find some pasta, I bumped into someone.
'Sorry! I should have seen where i was going,' said the voice. I knew who it was; hell, even if you asked me in my sleep, I could recognize that voice.
'That's okay, it's not like I bump into world-class celebrities everyday' i replied, smirking and looking down at Maya, who didn't notice me and was busy picking up her stuff, mostly beer cans.
'Ohh you! Charles, hey' she said surprised while getting up
'How is your vacation going?' I asked
'Umm, great, my friends went away. I have stayed back for a day. You know, some quality 'me time', she replied with a little smile. Cute, I thought.
'How are you, How is life now that you will be a baby daddy?' she asked with a little smirk.
I just thought the dust had settled on that topic as no more tabloids were writing about that made-up bullshit story, unless she was stalking me!
'Looks like someone has been stalking me!' I said with a smuggled smile, coming close to her.
'Well, you did it first. What did you think? I won't notice if you liked my post from 2 years ago, a classic rookie mistake. I thought you were a Formula One driver with controlled and fast reflexes' she said, smirking while closing the gap between us a little more.
My smile vanished, realizing how I fucked up shit!
Yeah, I stalked her on Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and Google the very day I met her in the club with boys. My favorite was 73 questions with Vogue. and her collabs with 'unity in diversity dance studio' in L.A. Two Very important pieces of information that I gathered about her were that, first, she was not dating anyone and has quite a clean record in that area. Secondly, she is a great dancer too.
And before I knew it, she moved away from me and started walking towards the billing counter.
'Are you going to drink all those beers alone?' I called from behind her, trying to change the subject.
Yup, and definitely not with some baby daddy,' she replied, laughing without turning around. Man, she had a nice ass, I thought while checking her out.
'Ciao leclrec,' she called out while waving and walking out of the store.
I waved her back and stood there until some guy came up to me and asked me for a picture.
This is going to be fun. I could feel the tension between us.
