Our second encounter was rather interesting, as neither of us came to expect such a peaceful reunion at the comfort of our own street.

It was on a sun-kissed morning, in our neighborhood that always invited one to bask in the simple joys of life. The golden rays of the sun caressed the neatly kept lawns, rendering them in a vibrant green. Each house, delicately made from stone, had a vibrant display of colourful blossoms, allowing the crisp air to carry their gentle aroma.

I was outside on a stroll, with my family's german shepherd that trotted alongside me. The dog shook its fur as the coat radiated an ethereal glow that the sunlight cast upon it, tracing the contours of the noble breed.

In a sudden movement, the dog's ears perked up attentively, and it spun around, darting off in the opposite direction.

"Wait!" I shouted behind it, my hand outstretched. A wave of panic spread over me as I saw the direction the pup was headed. Towards a young boy, who seemed to be enjoying a morning stroll as well. Now, I knew my dog wouldn't do anything to harm anyone, but the people don't hold the same knowledge I do. They tend to make swift movements out of fear, eventually leading themselves to get hurt. The end result is always the same, though, the dog and its owner are the ones to be blamed for.

I sprinted behind my dog like my life depended on it, my eyes darting between the creature and the boy.

Suddenly, I saw the boy notice the large dog bounding towards him, leash flailing in the air behind him and his tongue lolling in anticipation and excitement. A sense of relief washed over me as I watched the boy have no reaction, and stood his ground in an unbothered manner. I sighed with relief, trusting that nothing extreme would happen on this day. The dog slowed down as he approached the boy who outstretched his hand towards him. I slowed my pace as I caught up, my entire being grateful for the peaceful ending.

"Thanks man, you're a lifesaver." I panted, bending down to pick up the leash. I then lifted my head, offering my hand to the boy who stood before me. As our eyes met, my heart dropped to the ground, and my mouth fell open.

My eyes were met with a pair of icy blue eyes that held a captivating allure. Those eyes, silver hair that emitted a dazzling glow in the sunlight, radiant soft skin on a face that looked as if it was carved from marble.

"Oh- It's you." His voice grumbled as he continued to pet my dog on the head. "The boy from school."

"What are you doing here?!" I asked, my voice unnecessarily defiant.
