"And that my friends, is how a revolution dies" Haymitch says walking out the shadows.... Haymitch, what is Haymitch doing here!? Damn, he looks sober for once, he really needs some alcohol.
"Hello Katniss, Y/n" he greets us. "hey" I reply, Katniss however doesn't. "That's how you greet an old friend" he says to Katniss. "Maybe I don't recognize you sober" she says to him. "Guess it looks as bad as it feels" he says, blowing his nose in his handkerchief.

After we FINALLY finish our scripts as best that we could, we went to see how we did with the greenscreen on.
"People of Panem, we fight, we dare, we end this hunger for Justice" me and Katniss screamed out on the screen. Then it says, 'Join the Mockingjay and the Hawk'. This is so stupid.
"I hate it. Burn it" I say, and everyone looks at me. Haymitch clears his throat and I hear him say "Madame president, indulge me for a moment would you? Tell me a moment where Y/n and Katniss inspired you, and because of what they were wearing or because of the guys they were with."
Me and Katniss both look at Haymitch confused as to where he was going with this.
Effie raises her hand "when they had both volunteered for their sisters at Reaping's" she says. "Excellent example" he says and erases a bit of the board saying, "I hope that wasn't important". He writes messily on the board. "What else" he asks, and Scarlett says, "when Katniss sang that song for Rue and when Y/n comforted Andrew when he was dying in her arms". He writes that down on the board.
"Yeah, who didn't get choked up at those moments? You know Effie, I like you better without all that makeup" He flirts "well I like you better sober" she flirts back. Awe.
"What do these things have in common?" Haymitch asks. "No one told them what to do" Gale replies. "Unscripted yes, so what you're saying is we let them do their own thing" Beetee says, and Boggs adds on "and wash their faces, they're still girls you made them look 35". Effie scoffed in annoyance while Scarlett 'hmphed' clearly offended.
"The opportunities for spontaneity are lacking below ground, so we should just, what, toss them into battle" Plutarch says. Katniss' eyes widen. "I can't just send untrained civilians into battle just for effect, we're not the Capital" Coin says.
"We're perfectly trained, in fact we're probably more trained than you" I spoke up. There's just something about her that gives me bad vibes.
Haymitch laughed and said, "This is exactly what I'm suggesting, put them into the field" to which Coin responded, "no we can't protect them". "It has to come from them, that's what people respond to Scarlett nods at what Haymitch said, and they both spoke up "You want a face for the Rebellion, neither one of them can be coached into it. Trust me nobody knows it like us".
"There has to be someplace less dangerous" Plutarch says in thought. "District 8, they had reported heavy bombing last week. There are no military targets left" Beetee says. "But we can't guarantee their safety" Coin says.
"None of you will ever be able to guarantee our safety, we're always at risk. Hell we can even die down here" I scream at her, and Finnick places his hand on my shoulder for me to calm down. "We want to go" Katniss says, Coin says, "and if you two die".
"Make sure you get it on camera" I say with a smirk. Everyone looks at me in shock, while Plutarch chuckles.
