TW!! Panic Attack. I'm letting it be known that I suffer from an anxiety disorder that causes panic attacks. Everyone's experience is different. I am describing things that I went through.

Hailey's POV

It had been one week since my coming out party. One week since I had kissed Jess. Over the past week its mostly been monosyllabic conversation between me and him. After we kissed I had hoped we would talk about it soon, but how long until its no longer soon?

Tonight was Friday night, so I decided to join my mother and sister into going to our grandparents house. Grandpa was out of town the next few nights so it

was just the ladies. We dined as usual until grandma brought up a rather interesting idea.

"You want a what of us?" I asked my grandmother.

"I want an oil portrait of you and Rory to go in your grandfathers study. I thought it would be a wonderful way to cheer him up when he comes back." Emily Gilmore responded as if it wasn't a interesting topic. "It can hang right over his mantel, he'd just love it."

"I guess that would be okay. Rory?" I spoke to my sister.

"Yea, could be nice." Rory replied.

"Mom, please, don't make then do this." Our mother chimed in.

"They just said they would."

"Fine, paint the picture. But don't make them sit and pose. Paint it from a photo."

"Mom it's fine. We'd be happy to sit. If it's for grandpa, why not?" I said to my mother with reassurance from Rory with a head nod.

"Wonderful, I'll set it up first thing in the morning." My grandmother replied with glee.

"If you want, I can teach you the billy idol." Lorelai added in. Receiving a smile and giggle from me and my sister.

That night concluded like any other.

That following Monday morning had begun like any other. Coffee at Luke's before heading off to school. I stayed at dad's house that night so I woke up, got ready, and took my car over to Stars Hollow. By the time I had arrive at Luke's Rory was already sitting at the counter, while mom was sitting at a table with Luke.

I saw Jess refilling coffee cups through the window as I got out of my car. I considered not going in for a moment. But, I swallowed my pride and entered the establishment. I waved hi to my mom and Luke, trying to get Jess out of my head and walked up to Rory.

"Hey, Ror." She turned her head to her side as I sat in the stool next to her.

"Hey Hails. How's dad? How's Sherry?" My sister asked me.

"Still weird. I mean it's only been a week of her living at the house. And dad's good, he seems happy."

"Well that's good."

Suddenly Jess came up to where I was sitting with a tall coffee cup to go and a white paper bag.

"One large coffee and sprinkled donut to go." He told me trying to avoid my eye line.

"Thanks. Come on Rory, let's try and miss traffic." I say to my sister, trying to getting away from Jess quicker.

I didn't want our relationship to be like this. But with him not saying anything since the kiss, I guess this is how its gonna to be.

"Yeah, let me grab a cup to go." Rory said to me but looking at Jess.

"Just grab it yourself, I'm heading out." Jess said to Rory.
