Rosso walked onto the Red Bull plane as normally as she could with being in pain and not showing the pain she was feeling.
Knowing that if she let out any signs of discomfort that it would raise questions with some of the people on the team.
Questions she knew that she wouldn't be able to answer truthfully and any lie told to them would easily be detected because she simply sucked at lying to people that she was closest too, well anyone really.
But also she knew the main reason she's like this was walking on behind her, and if anyone knew the truth about last night that they might cause the plane to crash because of a fight.
Not wanting to be near Dakota after the night before, Rosso found herself absentmindedly walking over to her dad and sitting by him.
She felt more comfortable and the sense of safety that she feels around him was more than welcomed, it also helped that no one could sit by them, which left Dakota sitting across from the father daughter duo, sending her a barely noticeable warning look.
A look that she hardly cared about, know she was safe as long as her father was around, knowing that he wouldn't dare touch her threateningly with him around, as he was deadly afraid of the older Horner.
Not only Christian but surprisingly Helmut, who was also strongly protective of the younger Horner even if she didn't like him very much as a person.
Maybe it was just because she was Christians daughter that he felt the need to protect, but she wasn't going to question it.
Because she knew that for whatever reasons he had to protect her, rather it was out of his own kindness or the fact she was a team members daughter, that she was safe from any danger.
That the man she hated was someone that would keep her safe no matter her feelings towards him, and she was greatly appreciative of that protectiveness, even if it does come with an alternative motive that he wasn't sharing yet.
"You okay sweetheart?" Christian whispered worriedly noticing that she had been unusually quiet.
"Yeah, just tired, I didn't sleep well last night." She whispered laying her head on his shoulder snuggling deeper into one of his old hoodies she had put on this morning.
She hated lying to him, but she knew she could at least say that this small lie was half a truth.
She didn't sleep well after waking up from passing out from last nights events.
Having to sleep on the uncomfortable floor without a pillow and blanket afraid of what Dakota would do if he came back to her sleeping in the bed, or with any of the items that would make sleeping comfortable for her.
But she was also afraid to sleep, afraid that he would hurt her worst, that he would take the torture farther.
So she stayed up watching him stumble in, watching him sleep peacefully while she was shaking the the corner of the room fearing for what could happen if she closed her eyes.
"It's a long flight back Ro, get some sleep." He whispered placing a kiss on the top of her head, hoping that she'll get enough comfort from his presence to be able to sleep.
He couldn't help but smile when he barely got a nod from his daughter before he saw her breathing slowing down as she gave into the exhaustion from not sleeping for the past twenty four hours.
"Did she have nightmares or something Dakota?" Christian found himself asking the boyfriend of his daughters.
"Not that I know of Chris, if she did then she didn't wake me up." Dakota shrugged. "She wasn't up and down either so I never not off that she wasn't sleeping well." He added while looking at her with a fake look of concern.
