"What's up Little demon?"
That was the first thing she hard when she arrived in the paddock in Bahrain, coming from the one and only Jenson Button, one of her closest friends.
"The sky, it's the blue thing above your head, the thing with the clouds." Rosso found herself answering teasingly without thought.
"Smart ass." He laughed wrapping his arm around her shoulders, growing concerned when she flinched away from him.
"Are you okay? Did I hurt you?"
"Yeah, I'm good, just have sunburn on my shoulders." She chuckled easily lying to her British friend.
"You in the sun? Other than race weekends? Who are you and what have you done to Rosso Horner?" Jenson laughed.
If there was one thing that the youngest Horner wouldn't do, if would spent time outside in the sun when it wasn't needed.
"I like to try new things?" She smiled up at him.
"What sleeping in the sun or some shit like that?" He laughed.
"Yes, it's exactly like that." She laughed back.
"I swear, Christian definitely dropped you on your head for thinking that it was a good idea to do that." He laughed.
"My dad didn't drop me on my head, I've just been having out with you and Daniel to much."
"We aren't that bad."
"Who gave me champagne after their race win?" Rosso laughed while giving a look with a teasing smirk.
"Umm Lewis?" Jenson smiled, immediately turning the blame for his irresponsibleness on the Mercedes driver, who he didn't know was passing them in that moment.
"Don't go blaming me Button!" Lewis laughed, stopping to join the two best friends, already in his race suit.
"Then it was Nico" Jenson laughed, blaming the other Mercedes driver.
"Better." Lewis smiled "Nico has actually done that before." He added with a laugh.
"Of course he has." Jenson smiled. "I have to go." He added quickly, kissing her head and running off.
"Not hanging out in Red Bull today? The race is going to start soon?" The Brit questioned.
"Nope, I'm a Ferrari supporter today." She smiled, making a last minute decision to support Ferrari instead.
One that she found made Dakota delighted and better to be around, with him not finding a reason to be jealous of the German driver.
"Sebastian begged you didn't he?" Lewis laughed, be he knew the Ferrari driver had indeed begged her to watch him race before In Ferrari's garage last year.
"Not this time, I think he gave up after Abu Dhabi last year, when he attempted to kidnap me from the garage." Rosso laughed.
She remembered that day fondly when the Ferrari driver, that was considered family to her had showed up to the garage of the Red Bull team to in attempt to kidnap the girl.
Only to find out that she had a protection detail planned out for that moment.
Because she knew that the German would pull something like this, and to this day she still finds it unbelievably hilarious.
Rosso soon found out that watching a race in the Ferrari garage wasn't the same, it didn't feel like home, even though they welcomed her with open arms.
And she felt like she was bad luck
Especially after Sebastian was unavailable to start the race because of technical issues with the car durning the formation lap, that he wasn't happy with.
She couldn't blame him for that, as it was the second race of the year and he was always on the hunt for his 5th world championship, so he'd need all the points her could get.
She also knew he want that title with Ferrari, and to give them a much needed, and deserved title.
As they haven't won another one since Kimi Raikkonen, who happened to the Germans teammate, won in 2007, who broke a four year losing streak for the team on winning the championship.
"You'll win one for the Seb, I know you will." Rosso said after they moved to his driver room after he got out of the car.
"I know, it just sucks, they deserve to be in contention again." The German replied watching the race as it continued.
"I know, but I also know that they couldn't have better drivers to content for the championships. You and Kimi at two of the best drivers out."
"Since when do you speak so highly of Kimi?" Sebastian smiled.
"I've always liked Kimi jackass, he's the most likable out of all you fuckers on this grid." She laughed loudly.
Kimi was her go to person with problems, because he'd just listen to you and say very few words.
He didn't try to soften down anything either, you ask him for advice on something and he'd give you the hard truth.
He might not have liked to be social with many people, but the Horner girl, he always made time for.
Maybe even protective of her, more so than the rest of the gird and her father were.
Which is why Dakota stays away from him at all cost.
"I'm calling Bull fucking shit." The German exclaimed.
"I don't think Bulls fuck their shit." Rosso said throwing her head back in laughter, hitting her head on the wall.
"Ouch." She added after a second and rubbed the spot.
"That was, you know what, I'm going to leave it." Seb said while shaking his head at the silliness of the girl next to him.
"But is your head okay?" He added after a minute, his big brother side kicking in after a while.
"Just peachy." She laughed snuggling into his side. "I'll just have a small headache." She added.
"Do you need anything for it?"
"Nope, I'm good. I'll just sleep it off." She yawned.
A/N
I'm back with another chapter, shorter than I would have liked but I felt like getting this up.
No Daniel this chapter, but I wanted to introduce her and Jenson's friendship.
Also start to slowly introduce the brother sister dynamic of her and Sebastian.
Her and Kimi are a duo of chaos meets quiet, their friendship is interesting to say the least.
Anyways I hope you like this chapter.
Also please check out my other books, I'm excited for them and I think they'll be good.
Hope to be back for another chapter soon.
Enjoy!
Thank you~ Jackie
