"Why are you staring at a koala like your going to kidnap it?"

Max Verstappen asked his friend as he sat next to her staring where she was, only to see a wild koala hanging hug a tree trunk taking a nap, causing the girl next to him jump out of her skin.

"Danny sand if I could catch it then we could adopt it."

Rosso Horner said with her hand on her chest willing her heart rate to go back to normal after being given a heart attack by the Dutchman.

"I did not!"

Daniel Ricciardo called out from the grill looking over at them after flipping the steaks that he was cooking for dinner with a wide smile as he was a amused by his girlfriends love for koalas.

He now how a room fully of them from anniversaries, birthdays and holidays.

It was something that would always make her smile, which he loved, it was only an added bonus that she didn't care about random pieces of jewelry.

Although he would buy anything she wanted as he loved spoiling the British woman.

"Yes, yes you did goof ball."

Rosso said with a laugh as she threw her head back to look at the man that was her boyfriend with a wide smile, her eyes shining as the remaining sunlight had hit her face, causing a golden color to show up against her face.

"I said you could look from a far not chase after it."

Daniel laughed as he took the steaks off the grill and sat them on the patio table before walking over towards the duo that sat on lounge chairs by the pool, leaning down to place a small kiss on her lips.

"I heard catch him and adopt him."

The British girl said with a smile as the Australian held his hand out for her to grab, helping her up from the chair.

"You'd get mauled to death Ro."

The Australian laughed pulling her up and in to his arms with a smile on his lips as she let out a giggle at the rush of air that flew past her in the sudden moment.

"At least I'd look hot while getting mauled to death by my favorite animal."

Rosso said with a wide smile as she looked up at the chocolate brown eyes that belonged to the curly haired Australian that she fell for all those years ago.

"Mauled to death with a smile probably."

Max Verstappen said with a teasing smirk as he knew that the brown haired woman wouldn't be able to wipe the smile off her face, even if the koala was killing her.

Because it was a koala that she held for a second and that would've been a life time goal for her.

Lando Norris screamed as a freezing cold liquid got thrown in to his face unexpectedly as soon as he walked in to the McLaren garage for pre season testing.

"What the hell?"

He exclaimed confused as he wiped the liquid that he soon found out was water off his face with the nearest towel that he found.

"Welcome back to a new season!"

Rosso Horner exclaimed with a wide smile as she had missed watching the cars go around the track, watching Daniel more than anything doing what he loved.

It was an environment that she wasn't sure that she could live without, even though she wasn't the one driving.

"Nice to see you too Rosso."

Lando chuckled as he pulled her in to a quick side hug knowing from the previous season that she wasn't big on physical contact that isn't from close friends or family.

"So tell me about winter break milk boy."

Rosso said with a smile as she walked deeper in to the garage of the papaya team making sure that the British driver was beside her as she had been trying ti create a bond with Daniel's teammate.

She had done it with Nico Hulkenberg and Esteban Ocon when the Australian was in Renault, the team that had now been renamed Alpine.

It was something that Daniel would never mention that he appreciated out of fear that if it was acknowledged it would push her away from the idea.

But Daniel was just proud that she was finally letting people in that wasn't just Him, Max and family.

She was healing still, slowly but he knew she was.

"I mainly streamed on twitch and did a car launch."

Lando Norris chuckled as he realized that he hadn't done much over his break, sure he hung out with friends but it was mainly streaming for him.

"You sound like Max."

The brown haired woman chuckled as she finally sat down in a chair, turning body to give the driver her full attention as he sat down next to her.

"Since we've decided that I've done nothing, what did you and Daniel do?"

The British driver asked the woman next to him with a smile as he was happy to finally be talking to after many failed attempts the season prior.

"I almost kidnapped a koala and got mauled to death by it while Max and Daniel laughed."

"Come again?"

The young Mclaren driver asked blinking rapidly as he tried to take in the words that left the lips of his teammate's girlfriend as if he couldn't believe them.

"I was going to kidnap a koala."

Rosso Horner said with a shrug of her shoulders as if it made perfect sense and was a normal occurrence.

Which to her it was a normal occurrence within her inter circle.

"How the hell where you planning that?"

"By hugging it."

"Are you crazy?"

"No."

"You have to be."

The Norris man said in disbelief as he realized that the brown haired woman indeed found this be normal behavior.

"I hang out with Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo Lando, what do you think?"

Rosso Horner said whilst standing up from the chair before waving at the young driver, leaving him with that question while walking out towards the Mercedes garage to see if her like adoptive mother Susie was here for the week.
