Hey girlypops! The Things I've Never Done is reaching the third to last edition.
Part 8 will be out within the next two days, and to follow them will be Part 9 and 10, the final two chapters.
Let me warn you, 8 and 9 are the settings of the ship's end, and not very lighthearted at all! Chapter 10 will be one included with tissues! Just an FYI and to keep your eyes ready.
Chapter 8 will follow the initial crash and how that plays out, which is not for the faint hearted. It will be sad and solidify the fate for Cal and the Reader.
Chapter 9 will be more so how people were saved and moved on.
Chapter 10 will be the epilogue and how the now present day reader recounts the memories, where she is at now, and how life has moved on from that point.
Some Easter Eggs within the book to recount and remember following these last three chapters:
- Dorothy Richmond
= The little girl, around 5 years of age, that Caledon had danced with in chapter 2, and mentioned again within 3 and 4
= William, Dorothy's friend, and Mary, Dorothy's older sister are honorable mentions
- Frances Gates and Lillian Butterfield
= Also women lightly mentioned in chapter 2 that had kept the Reader company while Caledon danced with Dorothy Richmond
- "You. You are much more than you look you know," (Caledon Hockley, chapter 4).
= This quote is mentioned once more
- Cal's handwriting presented on the napkin in chapter 6
