Chapter 10

Author's POV

After a few minutes, Izuku let go and wiped his tears as he laughed awkwardly.
"Sorry 'bout that. I don't know what's up with me these days."
"No worries."

Izuku gets up to serve Tenko some snacks. He talks to him as he does his work.
"So.. what are you up to these days?"
"Nothing much, just going to college. Figured I'd need a degree to get a job and survive. "
"That's great! I wish you the best"

Tenko thanks Izuku sheepishly, unsure of what to say.
"I've been searching for a part time job tho. I've been living in one of Kurogiri's old houses but I need to start paying my own bills."
Izuku pauses for a second before bring his hands together in joy.
" what a coincidence! I've been looking for someone to help with the bar, how about you take the job? If you would like, of course "
Thinking it's a joke, Tenko laughs and looks at Izuku, only to find him staring at him with a straight face.

"Wait seriously? Of course I'd want to. Thanks Izuku, it helps a lot."
"No problem. Let's discuss the details later."
"Okay."

Izuku's POV

Me and Tenko talk for quite a while, losing track of time .
I check the time to see that it was already 1 AM.
I turn to Tenko, getting his attention.
"It's quite late, I think the trains have stopped running. Why don't you stay over Tenko?"
"Oh no, I don't want to trouble you. I'll just get a taxi."
Tenko says as he gathers his coat.

"Where do you live?"
"Uh.. Four stations from here.."
"What?!! Even the closest station from here is an hour away. Just stay over. You're no trouble at all. I'll get the futon out, the guest room is being used as a store room so you can sleep with me."
Izuku grabs his arm and leads him back to the room.
"I'll take you up on the offer then, thank you again Izuku. I'm really troubling you now."
"Not at all Tenko-kun. I have spare clothes if you want to take a shower. The bathroom's on the left of the kitchen. "
"Alright. Thx"

Tenko's POV

Am I seriously going to sleep in the same room with an ex pro hero? Oh how my life has changed.

I take the clothes and towel that Izuku handed me and go take a shower.
I enter the bathroom to see a huge ass bath tub.
*"Damn" I mumble to myself.

Time skip to after taking a shower~

Author's POV

After Tenko takes a shower, Izuku takes one too.
Tenko looks around the house as he waits for Izuku, then lays down on the futon. Water dripping from his hair, he never did learn how to take care of himself.

After a few minutes, Izuku enters the room to see Tenko all sprawled out on the futon. A smile creeps on his face, a genuine one, something that no one had seen in quite a wall. Too bad no one was there to see it.

" Tenko- kun, you shouldn't sleep with wet hair. I have a drier that you can use."
"It's alright, I always go to sleep like this."

Izuku thinks for a while and grabs the hair drier.
" This won't do, you'll catch a cold. C'mon, I'll dry it for you."
"You really don't have to-  "
"Just get over here"

Tenko reluctantly got up and sat on the chair near Izuku.
Izuku hummed in satisfaction as he dried Tenko's hair, which was, not surprisingly, as soft as it looked.

After a few minutes of arguing about who sleeps on the bed, it ended with a pouting Izuku on the bed and a satisfied Tenko on the futon.
"This isn't right. You're the gues-"
"Shut it Izuku. I won the game so I choose. And I choose the futon so go to sleep."
"Okay... Goodnight "
"Good night"

After a few minutes of silence~

Tenko's POV

I couldn't contain my curiosity and just shot my shot.
"Um.. Izuku?"
"Yeah?"
"Can I ask you something?"
"Sure?"

"Why were you getting hammered in the bar by yourself yesterday?"

I could hear Izuku's breath hitch as he heard me.

" Uh.. this a little embarrassing..
Ha..ha.. but yesterday was kind of Kachhan's anniversary and I get lonely on those days so.. I went to get a one night stand.."
"Oh.. sorry, looks like I messed your plans up."
"No problem, I'm actually glad I got to meet and talk to you."
"I hope so.. oh! So that's why you were telling me to take you to my place. I thought you were just talking bs."
Izuku became beet red at hearing about his drunk antics.

"Waaa!!.. I'm so sorry for my behavior. I can't believe I said that.."
"Why? Am I not your type?"
Tenko asked, making an upset face. Izuku got up from his bed, panicking.
"N-no! That's not it Tenko-kun. You're very much my type! Uh- I.. i- mean.. You're plenty attractive. I only said I couldn't believe it cause I'm supposed to control myself. Even if I've retired, I was once the No.1 hero. I can't believe I harrased you. Omygod omyg-"
"Okay stop. I was just kidding. Look at your face, haha.."

Izuku's face relaxes as he sees Tenko laughing freely, a face he had never seen before on the man.

"How mean-"
"Sorry, let's sleep for real now. G'night Izuku"

"Goodnight Tenko-kun."
