What is the meaning of Life? (Sonadow)

Chapter 2

Shadow was sitting in the room where he lived. He had chains on his feet and hands. Plus a muzzle on. Shadow also wore a shock collar around his neck. The collar only activated when Shadow would try to use his powers or try to harm any other G.U.N soldiers that worked here. Shadow never talked with anyone, he only talked if he was forced to.

Shadow was in thought when he was ripped from his thoughts by the door opening. A white female bat and a giant metal robot walked in the room.

"Hello, My name is Rouge and this is Omega. Who must you be?" Rouge asked Shadow

Shadow's P.O.V

"I'm Shadow the hedgehog." I replied

I already knew she knew my name by the clipboard she was holding and looked through.

"Well Shadow, it looks like you have a busy day today." Rouge said as he handed Omega the clipboard and grabbed the collar that was connected to a chain. It was only used to transport me. The collar and chain hung on the outside of the room.

Rouge started to walk towards me. I pinned my ears back and growled at her. I immediately regretted it when the shock collar went off. I stopped growling but backed up.

"Shadow, you're fine you won't get tested on today." Rouge said trying to calm me down

It wasn't working. I also knew she was lying. I get tested every day. I was sick from it. I continued to back up until I couldn't go any further. Rouge walked closer to me, every time I tried to escape or to show her to back off. I was shocked, I gave up eventually and let her put the collar around my neck.

There was a new part to this collar that was added on. I noticed smaller chains on the side that she had put on the muzzle. I also saw her take the shock collar off. I had a new plan in my head.

"Alright Shadow, the first thing you have to do is….. Clean up? Ok, it looks like Sonic and his friends had a fight with Eggman and you have to clean it up." Rouge said to me.

Who is Sonic? Why the hell does he get to be free? Why do I have to clean up his mess? I thought to myself as Rouge held the chain and walked out of the room. I followed her.

As we were walking I noticed a few gun soldiers staring at me as we walked by. They whispered to one another, but little did they know I had great hearing. I pinned my ears at them and glared which made them scared and run off.

Soon we made it outside. I had only been outside once in a while but that was it. Many people saw us and came running to Rouge. Some Mobians were taking pictures of me from a distance. I hated it.

"Why is that hedgehog in chains?" One mobian asked Rouge.

"He is a very dangerous creature! He is only here to do his work!" Rouge called to them all

"What do you mean by dangerous?" Another mobian asked

"He can kill and destroy anything and anyone but do not worry he is contained and won't hurt anyone." Rouge said

I looked at everyone around us. They all backed up instantly after hearing those words. Rouge pulled on the chain as she walked on. I of course followed her.

We soon reached the place where the battle took place. There were 3 bins and a pole that was dug far into the ground. No one could get the pole out of the ground. Rouge locked the end of the chain she was holding onto the pole.

"OK, Shadow put all of these scraps into the bins. We will be back in a few hours or so to take you back to G.U.N." Rouge said. With that, Rough and Omega left. Leaving me alone.

I looked around to where I was left. I saw that I was in the canyons no one could be seen, not even cameras. I twitched my ears to listen for anyone but heard nothing. So I took this time to escape.
