Chapter 19

Shadow's P.O.V

I quickly picked up Sonic as I immediately ran to the hospital. I can't believe it! We finally get to meet our pup!

I wonder what they will look like!... Are they going to help us? What if Sonic dies during childbirth?! Worry started to fill my head of thoughts that could go wrong... I was suddenly ripped from my bad thoughts when I heard Sonic scream in pain

"Shh... love, it's okay where almost there, " I said, trying to calm Sonic down

"I'M TRYING AHHH! BUT IT HURTS!" Sonic yelled as he gritted his teeth while gripping my fur tightly

I winced a little in the pain but kept on running

A few minutes later

Not many minutes later, I saw the hospital as I immediately dashed inside

"Help! Sonic is in labor!" I called out

A few nurses hear as they rush over and ask questions

"When did it start?" One asked

"Did you hurt him?" Another asked

"Why should we help you?" A third asked

I pinned my ears as I listened to Sonic whimpered and grunt in pain

"Just help him now!" I snapped

The nurses jumped back as once went to get the phone to call G.U.N, and the others went to get a  delivery room for Sonic

I sighed as I heard the one on the phone, but I shook off what I thought might happen and returned my focus on my mate

Soon, a nurse rushed out

"Shadow The Hedgehog?" She asked

I instantly stood up and went over. "Yes?"

"The room is ready..." She replied

I sighed and followed the nurse to the room

Sonic's P.O.V

I cried heavily in pain. My entire body hurts... I can't go on like this! FUCK I HATE THIS! WHY DID WE NOT USE PROTECTION!

I felt Shadow lower me on the bed in the room as I instantly gripped the bed sheets and grunted in pain...

"Love, you need to calm down try to relax... your going to over do it" Shadow said in a soft and worry voice

"SHADS! THIS IS PAINFUL! I CAN'T RELAAAAAAAAX!" I yelled in pain as I grunted heavily and panting

I laid back as I felt the pain start to slowly die down "Fuck yes...." I panted

Shadow gently rubbed my ear "better?"

"Yes... what happened?" I asked

"I had the nurse give you strong pain meds to help with the pain and to relax you a bit" Shadow told me

"I think this med is going to be my new best friend..." I panted while wanting to fall asleep

Shadow stopped me "Hey no... don't sleep.."

I looked at him and slowly nodded as it wasn't long for the pain to return...

Hours later

Finely!....... it's over.... I panted heavily as I heard small cires come from the young pup I had given birth to...

"Congratulations, It's a girl!" The doctor said as he handed to pup to the nurse so she can clean her up

I smile softly as I looked over at Shadow...

"Good job, Love..." Shadow Congratulated me

Shadow's P.O.V

I looked at Sonic who was tired from the birth as we both waited for our pup...

A few minutes later the nurse walked in as she handed the pup to me

The pup made small sounds as she looked at me with he bright orange eyes. The pup was full blue. She had Sonic's quills, but she had black stripes that looked like someone painted it on her. She also had a white chest fluff.... she was perfect..

"What are we going to name her?" I asked while handing the put to Sonic

"How about...." Sonic was saying as he looked that our pup before answering "Ember"

"I love it," I replied,

Both Sonic and I talked to our new pup, Ember

I was chatting with Ember when I noticed that Sonic started to go quiet, and his grip loosened on Ember

"Love?" I asked only to get no response

"Sonic!?" I called while slightly shaking him as I head the heart monitor slowly go down to a flat line

I instantly grabbed a hold of Ember so she didn't fall as I got help

Hours later

Hours passed as I sat in the lobby as I held Ember... I looked at her and apologized any time with tears in my eyes...

"I'm sorry, my dear..." I apologized as I twitched my ears when I heard footsteps head my way. I looked up to see G.U.N soldiers.

"Shadow The Hedgehog, you're under arrest! Your free time is gone. You're going away for a long time!" A soldier said as they held out a shock collar, chain, and muzzle

I slowly nodded as I stood up and walked over to Tails, who had shown up not long after he heard about the news.

I looked down at Ember once more as I gave her a kiss on the forehead. "I'll see you around.. princess, " I told her while handing her to Tails

"Take good care of her for us..." I said before I was jearked back by a G.U.N soldier as he forced the shock collar, chains, and muzzle on me

"Let's go," he said before starting to walk off

I followed as I had no other choice... this was the deal, and I had to go... I looked back once more at Ember, who started to cry at the loss of both her parents..

"It's okay... little one, you'll see your dad again. I promise you, " Tails told her
