Chapter 8

Shadow's P.O.V

I woke up to a loud ringing sound from a phone. I tried to sit up to stop the ringing sound but for some reason I couldn't get up. I looked around to find out why I was being held down. That is until I saw blue quills. I looked down and saw Sonic. He had his arms wrapped around my waist and his muzzle was in my chest fur.

I was startled by this. I was about to hit his head to wake him up. As that was the first thing that came to mind. But that stupid phone went off again scaring both Sonic and I. Sonic shot up which pushed me down.

"The hell!?" I grunted a little

"Hehe, Sorry Shadz." Sonic apologized

"Shadz?" I question the nickname

"I…." Sonic was about to answer but instead he picked up his phone and answered it.

I shrugged and went to get food. At Sonic's place I felt like myself. I was able to have my own opinion on things. Plus I was able to fight things I didn't like. Unlike G.U.N I had none of this.

I went to the kitchen to make or find food. There was only one problem….. We had nothing to eat.

"Sonic! We have nothing for food except cobwebs!" I called to him

"Shadow I am on the phone! If you're starving, go out and buy food! It's not hard!" Sonic called back

Go out? I thought I wasn't allowed out since I'm wanted?

"Like outside?" I question as I walked to the room

"Yes!" Sonic replied

"Ok" I shrugged with that I went outside

It was bright and colorful… I walked to the store. I took Sonic's wallet as I left his house. Soon I got to the town that is probably where I regretted leaving the house. Many mobians noticed me as they pulled out their phones.

Some mobians video me, others called G.U.N, I quickly went into the store. But the owner didn't let me buy anything.

I twitched my ears constantly as I heard the mobians talk. It hurt me to hear some things they said.

"Why is he out? How dangerous is he? Is G.U.N going to keep him contained better when they catch him?" Many of the mobians asked each other

I decided to walk back to Sonic's house since I can't buy food even with Sonic's money or well rings they call it.

As I was walking back something hit my neck. I pulled it out to see it was a dart. A sleepy dart, my eyes started to go blurry from the effects of the dart. As I fell to the ground since my legs were giving up, I heard chains and words that a mobian said that I wish I didn't hear.

"We would be safer if G.U.N did their job right and killed that so-called weapon of theirs!"

After hearing those words I passed out.
