Y/n's POV

Bringing the tub with me, I went upstairs. Man, I need to talk to Delores about this. I grabbed a book from the library first and went to the living room where I found both Five and Delores talking. There was music playing and they were holding margarita.

"Well, do you think we really did it? Think we actually stopped the apocalypse?" He asked Delores.

"I hope so. I really do. But now what?" She responded.

"Now what? I don't know," he chuckled, fidgeting with the draw, "I'm open to suggestions."

I threw the book on the couch and sped walked up to them. "Delores, there you are!"

Five turned around with his drink in his hand. I took another bite of ice cream and saw what he was holding. He stared at me, "Ice cream?"

I knew the way he looked at me. He knew something was wrong but he was unsure if he wanted to know. I was unsure if he should know.

"Oh this?" I paused and sat beside him, facing the other side, "I- it helps me think. I mean- I'm just thinking."

I took another bite and he turned to me as he put his drink down. He questioned, "Thinking?"

"I mean, we did it, didn't we? The apocalypse. We stopped it from happening. And now... I don't know. I miss my house, Five," I replied.

He spoke bluntly, glaring at me, "You miss being sick? Refusing to even try and beat cancer?"

I almost dropped my spoon, "How'd you know?"

"Who else is the only other person that knows?" He answered sarcastically, looking at me.

"The Handler," I muttered and looked down, "I'm sorry. I didn't have the heart to tell you. You were so busy with the ap-"

"Enough with that!" He noticed his sudden outburst and his face softened, "You should've told me. Was this what you've been hiding since we joined the commission?"

I breathed, "Yes.. I'm sorry. I just felt like I couldn't distract you. It seemed more important."

"More important than you dying?" He quickly replied.
