Death is like a great stone falling from the sky, shrouding everything within its dark wings. It cracks open society with an unfeeling precision and leaves a hollow emptiness in its wake. There is something both terrifying and beautiful about death: it strips away all pretence of life and reveals our true nature – fragile, exposed, and ultimately powerless before the unknown that awaits us all.

Rebekah pulled herself away from her thoughts and looked back at Hope, her heartbeat racing. She could not believe how far things had gone in such a short time. Knowing that there was no turning back, she reached out to take hold of her niece's hand. "Is this really something you want to do?" she asked quietly, her eyes boring into Hope's.

Rebekah looked at Hope again, her eyes filled with sadness. She tried to meet her niece's gaze but couldn't hold it for long. "I hope what you did was worth it."

Josie and Lizzie sat in the front room, "do you think hope ghosted me because she didn't want a serious relationship." Josie shook her head, "she was in love with you, everyone could see that." Josie took her sister's hand into hers, "should I call the business and ask to speak to her." the blonde shook her head.

"it's late, she probably won't answer." Josie shook her head and grabbed her phone and started placing a number in." she looked at her sister who was watching her intensely.

Josie places the phone on loudspeaker and waits for someone to pick up. "hello, can I speak to hope?" Josie asked.

"it's late, she probly won't answer." Josie shook her head and grabbed her phone and started placing a number in." she looked at her sister who was watching her intensely.

Josie places the phone on loudspeaker and waits for someone to pick up. "hello, can I speak to hope?" Josie asked.

Suddenly there was a voice on the other end of the line, it was Hope. "Hello?" she said hesitantly.

you could hear the confusion in her voice "You called my personal number." Josie held her breath and there was another person in the room, she could hear the shuffling.

"If you are one of my employees, and you didn't realise that this is my personal number, please call me tomorrow morning," Hope said before abruptly hanging up.

Josie looked over her sister with a worried look "Do you think she knew it was us?" Lizzie shook her head and sighed, "I don't know but I hope she didn't. "it sounded like she was with someone." Lizzie spoke looking at her sister,

"it was probably family, you knew how close she is with her mum and dad." Lizzie nodded and looked at the floor, she felt a sudden pang of guilt for intruding on Hope's life.

"do you think I should give up, should I stop being the ex-girlfriend who wants them back, should I just move on." Josie shook her head, "No! you need your answers when you find out why you did it you move on. I don't want you to move on and her be thinking you're still in a coma."

josie wrapped her arms around her sister and held her close, it felt like the world was slowly fading away. josie took a deep breath and smiled "Let's just go to bed, we'll figure things out tomorrow."

hope was sitting in her office going over some files, "some weirdo has my personal number." hope spoke looking up at Penelope who was bringing boxes into the room.

"It's probly a prank call or something." Penelope replied setting the boxes on the floor "It was probably some random person." hope nodded and looked away, she didn't want to think about her past anymore.

"I don't know why I keep wishing that whenever the phone rings I always hope that it's Lizzie." hope said softly.

Penelope nodded "Sometimes things don't work out the way we want them to." Penelope looked around and spotted a photo of Lizzie, "you know what they say if something is meant to be it will find its way back"

Penelope gave Hope a warm smile before she left the office.

"Nik, I did something bad." rebekah spoke, looking at her brother, "and I need your help."

Nik frowned "What did you do now?" he asked, knowing that his sister was up to something.
