The ride home was quick. I stepped out of the car to find my porch layered in rose pedals and sunflowers. Sunflowers are lovely, and the only sunshine I will ever be allowed to let touch my delicate skin. "Is this why you guys left?" I asked. "Surprise." Mason half smiled. "What is this for?" Sabrina asks. "Oh, the forecast tonight is lovely." Mason reported. I look up and see not one star in the sky. Above are dark, black clouds that only show signs of rain. He knows me better than I thought; this is lovely. We make our way to the porch. The blankets layer the middle of the platform, and we proceed to lay there. "It's not star gazing, but Mason insisted." Ed said. Sabrina spoke up, "let's go around and answer questions. What is your dream life?" The lineup was Sabrina, Ed, Mason and me. Sabrina then answered, "I want to travel. I want to see new people and learn about culture. I want to experience it firsthand." Ed answered with, "I don't really know. I have a little sister whom I love, and I want to be good to her. Mason and I are lumber jacks to help our families out. Dream job would probably be a mechanic. Not only would I want to fix cars, but I want to know how to make them more efficient." Mason answered, "Job would be whatever I can make money to support my family. Life is a different question, I want to marry someone I love and have a family. I want to love with all I have and give all I've got."  Oh joy, my turn, "life is a complicated thing. Human life is fragile and with every passing moment I am reminded of the short time we have. For the little amount of life I have in me, I want to love and breathe with ease. I want to trust and have peace that will never cease. Living for the beauty that most people can't see." I stop mid answer as it starts to rain. "Like this! The beauty in the rain sets my soul free!" I get up and run with Mason's hand in mine. Sabrina and Ed do the same and begin to enjoy running in the rain. Our nice clothes are a mess, but it's only water. I hug Mason as he starts to dance. My Prince and I dancing in the rain. "Mason this night can't get any better." He leans in and kisses me. I start to think as all of this pain and worry fades away, I don't need anything else because his love fills my void. I lay my head on his shoulder as our bodies continue to sway in beat with the rain drops as they make noise on the roof of my house. I am home, again, in his arms. I don't know how this night could end, because it seems endless. But, every lovely thing has an end.
