*Haerin POV

I miserably entered Hanni's house, my face still full of tears.

"Hey Haerin-! Oh, what happened? Why are you crying-" Hanni asks, but I just threw myself to her.

"my m-mom.. she's gone.." I said as I sob harder.

Hanni went silent as she rubbed my back.

"I know someone that will cheer you up, wait here." Hanni said as she left for the kitchen.

Hanni came back with Danielle, dressed in casual clothes.

"D-dani?" I muttered out, wiping my tears with my sleeve.

Instead, she slowly walked towards me, pulling me into a warm hug.

This action reminded me of when my mom would comfort me in any horrible situation I went in, and I quickly hugged back.

There was something about Danielle that made me attracted  to her even more.

I couldn't help but sob even harder, hugging Danielle even tighter.

"It will be okay, I will always be by your side no matter what. I won't lose you again." Danielle stated.

"thank you-.. dani." I replied.

 Danielle retracted from the hug, I wish it lasted a bit longer.

I still teared up, but it was significantly less than earlier. I had accepted that my mother is gone, and that I had to move on.

...

"i will stay in my room for now.." I said as I headed upstairs.

I entered my room as I dropped my bag to the floor, changing into comfortable clothes and finally being able to take a good rest.

Just as I was about to fall asleep, when a soft knock hit my door.

I stood up from the bed as I opened the door, to find Danielle.

"Hanni told me to ask you if you wanted to eat dinner, but it's fine if you don't want to." Danielle asked.

"no thanks.." I replied.

"Okay, I understa-" Danielle replied back, but I cutted her off.

"i want to cuddle with you." I said unconciously.

"Cuddle?" Danielle remarked.

"yes." I replied back.

"If that makes you feel better." Danielle said as she started to cuddle with me.

"not here, on the bed." I added.

"Oh.. okay."

I brought both of us to the bed as we cuddled a bit more.

"EHEM, I ONLY TOLD YOU TO BRING HAERIN DOWN?!" Hanni said as she stood by the doorway.

Both of us immediately shot up from the bed as we gave each other awkward looks.

"we were only cuddling." I said.

"Yeah.. you were only cuddling." Hanni replied with a suspicious look.

"Well, you two are eating dinner eitherway."

"But.." Me and Danielle muttered out.

"No buts, now let's go." Hanni said as she signaled us to go downstairs.

We just nodded, as we both headed downstairs.

*Danielle POV

( After Dinner )

I had left Hanni's house as I headed for mine.

I felt bad for Haerin, I didn't really know how to comfort her because of the fact that her mother just passed.

But, she oddly felt more calm about her mother's death, and I was kind of proud of her for that.

I continued to walk through the streets, eventually arriving to my home safely.

The doors of my house was opened by my butler, Kari.

"Welcome back, Ms. Mo." Kari said.

"Hello." I replied warmly.

I walked towards my room, contemplating if I should head to sleep or not.

Today just felt, different with Haerin.

It feels painful to not be able to help Haerin.

But.. why?
