I stared at her in disbelief. I felt tears well up behind my eyes wanting to burst out. I was angry, happy and sad. We should there staring at each other. I couldn't hold it any more. I sobbed loudly and jumped into her arms crying.
"I never thought I would see you again", said Rebecca
"I wish I'd never forgotten you, I was, we were so young" I said to her has we pulled away from hug staring at eachother.
"Did it hurt?",
"What", she replied
"Did it hurt when I didn't recognise you...", I told her
"Oh how can I lie. Yes it did. I cried myself to sleep but it wasn't just that",
"What is it", I said
She lent over to to me looking behind her.
"Im not loud. I shouldn't even be talking to you. I just have to do my job".
A tear fell down her cheek. I brushed it away.
"Is he watching",
"Somehow".
"Oh and you can sleep in my bed. It's a double, plenty of room.", I said
"He will see I can't".
I looked into her eyes. They looked like mine but you could see pain. She was staring at me also. Maybe she could see my part in my eyes too. She broke the stare.
"Breakfast?", she said
"Ok sure".
As she was cooking I looked at the clock. It was still around 4:30am in the morning. I was taking her with me one day. I needed to see how to get out of the fence from the house or what ever we were inside. I turned in door handle. Locked. I noticed in that corner of my eye a small window. Locked. I looked behind a plant. I camera. I grabbed it. I pulled out the wires. It was hard with one hand.
"He will find out you did that", said beca putting a coffee and bacon and eggs on the table.
"Are you going to eat"
"I eat anything the animals in the farm don't eat"
I pushed the food to her. She was skinnier then me and pale. She looked so angry. I looked at the bowl. She didn't want to but it! She ate it like I had last night.
"Tell me everything", I said when she finished
"Thank you... Ok umm well you know how I got here. Mum and dad hurting, villager finding blah blah, but you may want to know about your real mum and dad, and Ki Ki's.
I couldn't say anything.
"Chloe my 3 year old sister, what about her", I said trying to say
" I don't know but they took us, all of us, they can't Have kids!".
How did I forget that!
"Do you remember when your 'mum was pregnant with Chloe"
"I...I ... Um ok stop you are scaring me!", I yelled at her.
"I'm sorry!" I said quickly. " so you mean someone out there still wants me."
"Maybe I don't know how they got us.", she said "there is a chance they could try to find you",
"But they sold me!",
"We're you good at school"
"Yes..I got all A's"
" know they had no money well they didn't then I was there, so they may come", she said worried "oh and we had a brother",
I nodded more tears welling
"Jacob.... He graduated well and got a good job. He helped them for a bit. Then he wanted to go have if own life, then he disappeared, I don't know what happened. No one does.
"Maybe he ran away?"
"Could you when they locked you up",
"How did you know that",
"They did that to him maybe he died in there I don't know... I loved him", she said putting her head on the tabled.
I put my hand on her shoulder to confit her.
"What do we do", I said
"There is nothing we can do...".
She went to her room.
I sat at the table for a while thinking. Maybe someone wanted me out there. Just maybe I had a chance. I hope Ki Ki and Chloe does too....
I heard the front door unlocked. I stood up and walked to the back of the wall. Three girls walked in the makeup and moisturiser and wedding dress- oh great I forgot the wedding!
Two more days til I'm married....
