Four, Lauren Zeke and I parted ways after the dance lesson. Well Zeke and I did anyway. Lauren was getting highly pissed at Four dancing so well with me. There was a lot of yelling and denying and it constantly makes me wonder if this wedding is even worth planning since they argue so much.
I walk back to my shop and go to my office where I kick off my wedges and collapse on one of the sofas exhausted. I drape one of my arms over my eyes.
"Tris it's me," Christina says when I hear the chime of the door opening.
"On the couch," I yell back to her.
"You look...beautiful," Christina says sarcastically.
I push myself up on to my elbows and look at her. She leans on the frame of the door with a smirking face holding her phone.
"Oh god please tell me that you were not just texting Zeke," I say.
"I'd be lying if I said no. He managed to send me a picture of you two dancing," she says smiling.
"How did Zeke get a picture of us dancing? He was dancing with me," I say confused.
"You and Four, you dummy," Christina says taking a seat at my feet.
"Oh that would make more sense... Zeke I'm going to hurt you..." I say rubbing my face and lying back down.
"Apparently it was a very romantic dance between you two," Christina says slapping my feet.
"Ow Chrissy my feet hurt," I whine gently moving my feet.
"Chrissy I feel like my feet has blisters, heels hurt," I say.
"You were wearing wedges," Christina say.
"Same difference," I mumble.
I feel her weight leave the couch and then I hear footsteps. She sits down at my feet again but it doesn't feel like her. Person weighs too much to be Christina.
I feel their hand on my foot and they are massaging it? What? I remove my arm from my face and sit up.
"Crap! Four what are you doing here?!" I scream scurrying back away from him. Not that it does much because there is only so much place between him and the arm of the sofa.
"Hey hey easy easy I just want to talk," he says putting his hands up in surrender.
"Well coming to talk would involve calling me or knocking, not just sitting here and feeling my foot and giving me a heart attack," I say to him trying to calming down.
"You're right I'm sorry but I had to see you again," he says to me.
"Four this isn't high school when we were sneaking around trying to be undiscovered by our friends and my brother," I say to him getting off the couch.
"I know but I--" he stutters.
"But what Four? Can't you see that I am trying my hardest here for you? Your fiancé isn't making my job any easier. And by the feel of things, she's going to do whatever she can to get that dress from Christina," I say to him.
"I know and I'm sorry about Lauren," he says.
"Just try and talk her out of it," I say to him.
"That's not what I meant when I said that," he says standing up and walking over to close the door.
"I don't get you. You proposed to this girl yet you treat her like there is no love there," I say to him.
He turns around from the locked door to face me, "I do love Lauren,"he states.
