Okay onto the story<3

Levina’s POV

“Why do I feel like this?” I question myself while looking in the mirror. I don’t want to be a girl.. It just feels wrong. I really want to talk to someone about this, but what if they hate me? Sliding down the wall, I feel hot tears stinging my face. I can’t look at myself, I am disgusted. 

Diana’s POV

I lift my head up. My “twin” sense is tingling. Levina and I aren’t actually twins, but it makes her feel more connected with me so I consented. Looking away from my book, I look at the time on my phone. 2:31AM? It got late fast. Everyone else is probably sleeping, I should check on Levina though. I am pretty sure she has insomnia.

Putting my book down and readjusting my glasses, I tiptoe out of my room and peek into Levina’s room. She’s crying? Shoot, where’s Mikey when I need him.

“Levina.?” I whisper. Her head shoots up, tears staining her face. I move to go sit by her, grabbing her favorite stuffed bear on the way. 

“Thanks D.” She whispers as I give her the bear and slide down next to her.

“Do..you want to talk about it Lev?” I say, looking at her.

“Stop! Don’t call me that..please.” She cries, putting her face into her hands and curling up. I scoot so that I am sitting in front of her. 

“What do you want me to call you then?” I question, studying her. 

“I don’t know!” She wails, burying into herself even more.

I take out my phone and search up renaissance artists, the artists me and my siblings were named after. 

Lorenzo..no that sounds funny.

Donatello..hey I kinda like that one. Noted.

Leonardo..maybe that’ll work. 

“Do you want to be called Leonardo?” I say as her head perks up.

“Yeah..yeah! You could call me Leo!” Leo says, eyes shining.

“Alright Leo, do you want to tell me what’s bothering you and why you want to be called a guys name?” I question, sitting criss-crossed.

“..I don’t..feel like a girl. Everything about it feels wrong. I want to crawl out of my skin and be a whole new person. I want to be a boy, like Raphie and Mikey.” Leo says, refusing to make eye contact.

My eyes widen, realizing that we have been feeling the same way. 

“Leo, I don’t want to be a girl either!” I exclaim, overly excited that someone can finally relate and understand what I am feeling.

“Wait actually?!” Leo whisper shouts, suddenly on his knees and looking at me excitedly. I think he is excited too.

“Mhm! I was actually wanting to go by Donatello, or Donnie for short.” I say sheepishly.

“Okay Don-Tron!” He says, standing up and offering me his hand. 

Taking his hand, I question “You’re going to call me that forever now, huh Leon?” 

“Yep! Is touch okay?” He asks. I nod and he pulls me into an embrace. I hug back, relieved. 

Raphs POV

That’s better. Raph has now relieved himself and can go back to bed. I think, waltzing to my room before I notice that Levina’s light is on. I walk quietly to the curtain, peeking inside. 

“..I don’t..feel like a girl. Everything about it feels wrong. I want to crawl out of my skin and be a whole new person. I want to be a boy, like Raphie and Mikey.” Levina says as my eyes widen. 

“Leo, I don’t want to be a girl either!” I hear Diana exclaim.

Raph is now confused. How long have they felt like this? How come I didn’t notice sooner? I scold myself before peeking back in again, seeing the ‘twins’ hugging. I decide to comfort them and get a better understanding of the situation.

Leo’s POV

Me and Donnie’s heads turn instantly to the sound of the curtain being pulled open by Raph. Our eyes widen, scared.

“Raph wants a hug too.” He smiles, walking over to us. 

“Raphie wait, how much did you hear?” I ask in a panicked voice. Putting his hand on my shoulder, he says “Enough to know that I have three little bros!” He smirks, pulling me and Donnie into a huge bear hug. (Raph’s hugs are the best!)

After a moment or two, he pulls away. “Okay. Raph would like a better explanation. So far, he can tell that you want to be called Leo,” He says pointing at me. “,and you..I didn’t quite hear what you want to be called.” He smiles slightly, definitely feeling guilty.

“I want to be Donatello, or Donnie for short. He wants to be Leonardo, Leo for short.” Donnie explains. 

“Alright!” Raph yawns, causing me and Donnie to yawn too. “Raph thinks that we are all tired and should go to bed.” 

“Wait, can we all do the turtle pile tonight? I don’t want to be alone.” I whisper, looking away. Suddenly Raph is on my bed, sprawled out and looking at me with eager eyes. “Raph very much would like that.”

Me and Donnie climb onto the bed and get comfy, happy to finally be comfortable and accepted.

The following morning:

I open my eyes, squinting at the sudden light. I yawn, about to stretch before I feel something on top of me. Looking up, I see Mikey. Mikey never misses out on the turtle pile. I think, moving closer to Raph, but careful to not wake up anyone. 

As I was about to fall asleep, I hear Donnie whisper, “Hey Leo?”

“Yea Dee?” 

“When should we tell Mikey and Dad?”

My eyes widen a little, forgetting that we haven’t told everyone yet. “Uhh..we will just tell him later.” I mumble, not wanting to do this right now. I just know that I am currently content and sleepy. “Love you Donnie.” I say, intending to go back to sleep.

“Love you too Lee.” He says sleepily.

Sorry this chapter took so long to get out! I have been a little busy and I am struggling with art block and writers block
