"I know we need to plan a prison break as soon as possible," Grim remarked, sandwiched between Homph and Nom, "but, man... I hate to admit it, this food is extraordinary. Or, well, it's worth getting Grim-napped for."
Yuu couldn't help but let out a sigh as they reclined back into the plush, soft blue divans.
The lounge of the Scarabia dorm was the epitome of luxury. Its walls were adorned with sumptuous jewel-toned fabrics, displaying deep emerald, royal purple, and lustrous gold hues. At the heart of the lounge stood a magnificent mosaic fountain, where water cascaded down the tiles, creating a soothing melody that resonated throughout the space.
The Scarabia dorm lounge beckoned residents to gather on its low-slung sofas, adorned with opulent cushions sporting intricate arabesque and paisley designs. This setup encouraged intimate conversations and nurtured a strong sense of camaraderie among the dorm's occupants. Overhead, elaborate brass lanterns hung from the ceiling, casting a warm, golden glow that harmonized beautifully with the flickering candlelight scattered throughout the space, intensifying its enchanting ambiance.
In a tucked-away corner, a beautifully carved wooden alcove served as a mini-library, housing a diverse collection of books ranging from the Queendom of Roses to the Coral Sea. This tranquil nook provided students with a serene escape, allowing them to immerse themselves in captivating stories and tales from far-off lands. Additionally, the dorm lounge featured a small stage area, adorned with richly patterned curtains and ornate backdrops, where various cultural performances, including live music, traditional dances, and storytelling events, took place. It was also the very spot where Yuu had reluctantly been coerced into singing.
Amidst the intoxicating fragrances of exotic spices and sweet incense that wafted through the air, there lingered an underlying atmosphere of fear, worry, and unease, serving as a reminder of the urgent need for their prison break plan.
"I'm not sure what you mean by that, but I'm glad you enjoy the food. Have some more!" Kalim exclaimed, his enthusiasm evident. He eagerly presented a blue cheese made from cow's milk on a cracker, urging Grim to give it a try.
Grim eyed the delicacy with curiosity, the vibrant hues of the cheese contrasting beautifully with the crispness of the cracker. "It's great on a cracker. Here, give it a taste!" Kalim playfully tried to feed the cracker to Grim, a mischievous glint dancing in his eyes, creating a lighthearted moment amidst the tense atmosphere.
Grim chuckled nervously. "Uh, nah, I'm good on crackers..." Their gaze shifted over to where Yuu was sitting, who couldn't help but suppress a soft laugh.
Kalim, undeterred, flashed a charming smile. "Please, no need to stand on ceremony! Ah hah hah!" With a playful flourish, he gently shoved the cracker into Grim's mouth, making sure to add a touch of extravagance even to this casual moment. The cheese's creamy texture and the cracker's crunch mingled in a burst of flavors that surprised Grim, momentarily distracting them from the impending prison break planning.
"Mrrrph?! Homph Mrrrph!" Grim exclaimed with a grimace, struggling to chew the food he was unexpectedly forced to eat.
As Grim grappled with the force-feeding of the blue cheese cracker, the lounge was filled with laughter at the comical scene. Even Yuu, caught between laughter and the gravity of their situation, managed to crack a smile.
